Guest guest
I had a miscarriage while taking an SSRI (Celexa). I stopped the drug, waited a month, then got pregnant again right away. Could be coincidence but thought I'd share. I decided against it while nursing even though I had PPD. My doc shared some studies with me that showed they had a small effect on the baby - lethargy, difficulty rousing, etc. Truly, a There is much written about side effects of SSRIs in the on-line BNF (British National Formulary) - equivalent of Physician's Desk Reference, I think, for you. This information is provided by the drug companies, who, while obviously covering their backs, are responsible enough (?) to suggest caution in lactation and pregnancy. I was only asking for info because I was on Zoloft while I was pregnant and nursing my 2nd daughter. She's almost 6 now. I don't recall her having any lethargy or difficulty rousing, she certainly isn't that way now. ;-) Ohio )0(~~~)0(~~~)0( Mom to Brittany, born 8/31/93, dx'd-IDDM 5/28/01; , born 6/28/97; and Shayna, born 6/1/00.
