I was mainly complaining that homeopaths are

not covered by insurance, that will probably

not be " allowed " by the usual medical society

for a very long time to come. So we are stuck

in a system that just makes us sicker and the

good things are out of reach for us that want

to be well...

>It does make it tough that homeopathy isn't covered by insurance. We took the

plunge last year to get my 2 children and I treated by a homeopath. If you

really compare the 2, I think in the long run homeopathy will actually save you

money.

>

>My children are 11 and 13. In the 2 years prior to starting homeopathy, we

spent almost $600 on medication (mainly allergy medicine, antibiotics) for the 3

of us. This was with insurance coverage (we only had to pay $10 or $15 per

prescription). I know homeopaths vary in what they charge, but we haven't spent

anywhere near that in the last year for paying our homeopath. She is also more

than willing to work with people on payments. Most homeopaths are not in it for

the money!

>

>I encourage everyone to at least see what the cost would be with a homeopath.

It will pay off in the long run. Why continue to take the things that make one

remain in an unhealthy state? Then the cycle will continue and it will continue

to cost in allopathic treatments. My son is no longer being treated by our

homeopath. His chronic allergies, colds, strep throat, etc. at this point has

been resolved. Not to say he won't ever get sick again, but I will never know

the money I've saved in the last year by not having to pay for doctor visits and

medication. He is healthier now than he has ever been in his life!

I understand what you're saying. It is a shame that insurance doesn't cover

homeopathy. We can always hope that someday they will! But, I don't think that

has to put homeopathy out of our reach until then. I for one refuse to be

" stuck " in anything that will continue to make my family and I sicker. Where

there is a will, there's a way! : )

Then there are those of us who don't seem to have a good homeopath

anywhere near us at least none listed on the two sites recently given

here. So for everyday type things is it best to just educate myself?

My homeopath lives in India. I live in Kentucky! : ) Again, where there's a

will, there's a way! : ) I highly recommend her, too. (We correspond by

email).

Kay,

I didn't realize homeopaths would do this. I would love to know more

about your particular situation. Would you be willing to e-mail me off

list with more info? Thanks.

Sally (and anyone else who may be interested),

She has a website you can check out, it's www.homeopathy2health.com I highly

recommend her. Someone who used to be on this list recommended her to me, and

I've been very happy with how things are working with her. Her partner in the

states, , is listed on Sheri's list of recommended homeopaths.

Their website explains how they work things in their practice. If you have any

questions, I'll be happy to try and answer them for you.
