Guest guest
Hi Rich / all Am I right in saying that NT Factor main ingredient is phosphatidyl nutrients. How this help CFS specifically? Is it purely in helping cellular health ? Regards CS
Guest guest
Hi, CS. Yes, the main ingredient is phosphatidyl choline. This has been found to help in various fatigue conditions. The idea is that the cells have difficulty replacing the components of lipid membranes that are lost due to oxidative stress. By supplying them directly, it saves the cells from having to make them. They can just import them directly. This is particularly important for the mitochondrial membrane. There is a paper in the latest Joural of CFS about this, by Rita Ellithorpe and Garth Nicolson. I think they are reputable people. I think NT Factor can be beneficial in CFS. I think it's also important to correct the oxidative stress to stop the damage process, though, and I think that's where restoring the glutathione level comes in. I actually tried two bottles of NT Factor myself at a pretty high dosage. I didn't notice any effect, but it should be borne in mind that I do not have CFS or any other fatiguing illness, and I have been taking a lot of antioxidants as well as flax oil and evening primrose oil for several years. So my mitochondrial membranes were probably in pretty good condition before I started NT Factor. As Cort wrote me, my response is probably not very relevant to what the response would be in a PWC. Guest guest
I knew I was forgetting something important; I take Propax w. NT factor, and it certainly the most distinctive multi-vitamin I have ever tried. Not a cure, but definitely a boost. Have shared it with 2 sickly neighbors and they both began benefitting after only a week. (And one is a very resistant cranky woman.) Guest guest
Rich When I tried to take NT Factor, I felt a very " stressed " feeling with tense muscles along my sholders and spine and my heart race was up and I just felt nervousness. THis lasted about 24 hours and then just went away and I haven't had anything like that since I stopped taking the NT. I know this a good for PWC's but do you have any hunches as to why I couldn't tolerate this? When I get my glutathione raised (I have used ImmunePro RX but I discontinued that too because I began to feel weird on it and had trouble with my stools being abnormal) I would consider trying the NT Factor again. Any thoughts? Thanks! Dawn V Re: Rich / all: NT Factor and phosphatidyl nutrients. Hi, CS. Yes, the main ingredient is phosphatidyl choline. This has been found to help in various fatigue conditions.
