Guest guest
Lois, the problems with my son are all related. The symptoms relate to the parts of the brain that are dysfunctional. My understanding is that the OCD symptoms come from a problem in the frontal part of the brain(basal ganglia) I knew that my sons problems were immune related before he ever developed OCD. I also knew that the worse his OCD symptoms were, the worse the behavior symptoms were. Recently I have found NIMH research that validates what I knew but could never prove. Dr. Amen has also recently compared children who were diagnosed with only ODD to children with OCD. On neurospect he has found that the problems in the brain are very similar. I have tried the normal types of treatments in the past, with terrible results. The only way I have found to make the symptoms go away is by addressing the infections and other immune problems.
