Guest guest
Hi, I would not waste your time guessing . . .have you considered the Genetic testing from www.testing4health.com ? Rich and myself have suggested this several times on the this list. I have tried your route and it did not work for me . . I believe you need to find out your genetics first and then follow that path. I am using Dr. Amy Yasko at this point with the support of several other doctors and I am having progress(but slow as expected). This is the best advice I can give after fighting this illness for 18 years. Best wishes, Sue T shakerz25 <shakerz25@...> wrote: Thank your for the reply. I tried Immunocal in the distant past, nothing. More recently I tried Metagenics whey, and Renewpro, which are " non-denatured " whey, and saw no benefit. Maybe they were doing something, but I didn't see it. My understanding is these are the high-quality whey products you describe, and the price tag leads one to believe that they might not be inferior. If they don't do anything, why? Maybe blocks in the methylation cycle. I have the Autism book and can't figure out the methylation cycle, which I guess indicates cognitive impairments greater than I care to admit. The best I can do is try this, try that. Next is B6 and magnesium, taurine, TMG...The order of trials is probably important, but beyond me. I got the impression from the talk about glutathione and whey on this list that if you take whey (like Renewpro), you increase glutathione, and you're on the road to recovery. However, it's not that simple: the whey powders apparently don't work for me, so I'm trying the liposomal. This SCD diet advocates cutting out all carbs except monosaccharides. Seems crazy, but actually makes sense. The whey powders, whole grains, supplements, etc., don't do anything because they just muck up the microvilli and their enzymes in the small intestine. Since I have already tried many diet changes and have been avoiding gluten for some time, the SCD will not actually be that difficult, and as I said, may hold some promise. It's not what you eat, but what you assimilate. And what you don't assimilate, burdens the system and does harm. > > > > After trying Whey protein for some time, and feeling no improvement, > > I have come to think maybe this is not going to increase glutathione > > levels for me, and maybe others. > > > > ***Which type whey did you use? The result was an efficient and completely successful transfer of the chemo agent into the inside of glial cells of the patient's brain. Guest guest
Where do I get Readisorb Liposomal Glutathione??? Thank you, Janet helen9jora <helenjora@...> wrote: I am going on the SCD later this month, am slowly decreasing my intake of certain foods prior to doing it. Read about it in the Pangborn Baker book. Sounds worth a try. Cheney has patients on Immune Pro and liposomal glutathione. Immune Pro has a small amount of lactose in it, which is forbidden on the SCD, but I'm going to keep taking it anyway. Cheney in his video talks about xenobiotic toxins from the guts causing problems and that is exactly what the SCD addresses, by starving the bad bacteria. The problem is the die off release of toxins from the bad bacteria which I am trying to lessen by ramping down my complex carb intake prior to going on the SCD. The people at pecanbread recommend Epsom Salt baths and taking activated charcoal caps to reduce die off. I asked about doing enemas as an adjunct but nobody answered me. Since they are mostly parents of autistic kids, that would be a problem to do and probably hasn't been looked into much. One of my friends said trying to avoid die off was like trying to avoid gravity but I'm still trying to find a way to do it. Guest guest
HI Sue, I am seriously considering the testing at testing4health. It looks like there is another fee for Dr. Yaskow to interpet the results. Is that right??? Once I take the test, do they suggest things to take so I can get better??. I have found a doctor who will work with me. Can most doctors interpet this stuff??? Thank you so much for your help. Guest guest
I know he has been great about this. I am just trying to get a feel for what instructions I get with the test and that once I pay the $750.00 and send in the results, that I know I will get feedback on the test from them. Did you get instructions with the test. Telling you what to do and what to expect??? Guest guest
Janet, I would really try and educate yourself with Dr. Amy's books, websites and videos. It seems a bit overwhelming in the beginning, but all I can say that for me it is worth it cause of my improvement. Please remember taking this on may be a marathon and not a sprint. I spend hours a day studying her program materials. Best wishes, Sue T Janet s <jgstev716@...> wrote: Hi Sue, Thank you for your help. Guest guest
HI Sue, I have already lost a home and $300,00 fighting an unknown virus in 02 " which I could not get rid of. I guess I am to a point of trying to get the CFS under control with the little money I have left. From what I read from the list, the glutathione supplementation and getting rid of the mercury seems to be of paramount importantance. I am trying not to spend any more than I have to. (I don't have another house to sell). Were the books expensive, the videos?? I am having one of THOSE DAYS and went to look on her website and for today is was quite overwhelming. Thank you for all your help. Janet Sue T <morabshadow@...> wrote: Janet, I would really try and educate yourself with Dr. Amy's books, websites and videos. Guest guest
Hi Janet, I totally understand the $$$ situation . . . I am having lots of difficulty with that, too. The reason I chose Dr. Amy is because I can not take Glutathione(makes me ill) and every time I have tried to deal with HG(I could spend 3 days telling you of my horror stories oregarding my amalgan and dentist issues) I get sicker . . . . so that it WHY I chose her program. It gets down to the reasons WHY we have the difficulties you mentioned and deals with them head on with the genetic variation results. Guest guest
HI Sue, I tried again to look at her website and got a little further. I am WITH YOU, lets get down to it and take it head on! I can deal with glutathione and my mercury problems are not as bad as yours, but I want to get to the genetic problem. Which books have you read??. Which ones did you get the most out of??. I have to take that genetic test, I know that for sure. Thank you so much for your help. Janet in San Diego Sue T <morabshadow@...> wrote: Hi Janet, I totally understand the $$$ situation . . . Guest guest
Hi Janet, Genetic ByPass Book comes with the testing kit along with a beginning level DVD. Dr. Amy is coming out with a new supplement type book very soon and that I would consider that a must. I would also call the office at (207) 824 8501 and ask for their recommendations. I have learned a tremendous amount by just reading the forum and all their new posts(especially Dr. Amy's) daily. Again give the office a call . . . they are very helpful. Explain your situation and tell them you know of another female CFS adult that is on the program. Guest guest
Hi Janet, I am slowly feeling better, but I have not received all my results or GAR yet .. . so I am still fine tuning the supplements. It took a month or two for me to start feeling better. I am walking my dogs a couple of blocks at this time and very light gardening. Most my symptoms are Neurological so noise, light, people, writing, etc are still a challenge, but improving.. Guest guest
Hi Rich, Funny you would bring that up. I had decided today (I spoke to their office) that I was going to go ahead and order the testing and the GAR. What I am hoping for is to pull this at the root. I am tired of being sick! I feel you and this list are a gift. Thank you all for what you do. Janet in San Diego rvankonynen <richvank@...> wrote: Hi, Janet. By now you may have already decided what you're going to do about the SNP test. Sorry to be so slow in commenting. It's true that I try to interpret test results when people ask me to, and I enjoy doing it. However, sometimes I'm pretty slow at getting back to people when the email traffic, on and off the list, gets overwhelming, or when family and household matters require my attention. With regard to the genetic testing, I am still getting up to speed on understanding the meaning of all of it. I have a pile of Amy Yasko's new DVDs that I haven't had time to watch yet, but hope to soon. I don't know how long you would have to wait for a GAR report from Amy, but I'm sure you would learn a lot more from her than you would from me, not only because she is very sharp, but also given all of her experience. So if you can find it in your budget to order a GAR, I would encourage you to do that. If not, I would try to interpret your results to the degree I understood what they meant, when I was able to get to it. Rich > > > > Hi Sue, > > > > Thank you for your help.
