Guest guest
Barb, I posted about my experience with ALA on 3/22: >This can be dangerous if you have any kind of toxicity. On my then doctor's advice, when I was only halfway through my pesticide detox, I used it at 100 mg/ day for a few days. At first I felt more energy but then it brought on terrible depression, by what I now think was redistribution. This is in agreement with Cutler's theory: basically, he recommends using it only in small doses every 3-4 hours (including during the night) for a few days to chelate and then taking a week off to rest (or something close to that; I don't have the book). It took four months after stopping it for me to feel all right. I won't touch the stuff again.< Per H on this list posted this on the same day: >Had similar scary experience with it. Took at least 1 month to get back to normal. I dont say do not take it, but be careful. I would also check out the cutler method if I were to try it. I used to have little mercury on my hair analysis but it has gradually gone down on subsequent tests. Dunno if ala were stirring up something else. < I would be very cautious about using ALA.
