Hi Ellen,

For me, the opposite is true. My tonsils are huge. In fact, if I go to a

doctor has not seen me before, I could get a prescription for an antibiotic any

time I want based on the look of my tonsils. They are all pocked and gross

looking too. I think this is from multiple strep infection as a child as well

as multiple mono infections as a teen and young adult. Just thought I'd throw

in my 2 cents worth!

throat.

They're on each outside of the tonsils, arching upward.

Well, I don't even have tonsils, my parents had them removed at age 6

due to recurrent infection. And I have CFS just like everyone else, no

better no worse. I doubt this tonsil effect is primary to CFS, just

another secondary result. One thought this does trigger though - if the

tonsil is shrunken, what about all of our other glands? Is there a

systemic gland-shrinking ray being pointed at us by those aliens surfing

the contrails.? LOL

This list is intended for patients to share personal experiences with

each other, not to give medical advice. If you are interested in any

*** Mine too! I had one doctor who was convinced I just needed to get my

tonsils removed and that would solve everything--even though they've never been

infected. Every time I get a new doctor, they are impressed with my tonsils! I

think they were probably always big though, but I don't know.
