Guest guest
Hi Jan, Unfortunately I can tell you from personal experience that very little has changed since 2003, the debates rage on but the attitudes of most doctors and the public in this country are still shaped by the influence of Wessely and his cohorts. Changes to the law or changes to the names of the illness have not resulted in changes to how we are treated. Since this was done in 2003, I would love to know what eventuated, from this paper. I couldn't find anything on the net. Do you know? Clearly, Simon W is still practising and still in demand, so apart from the recent protests from the CFS community it doesn't seem to have had the results it deserved. > > The case of Ean Proctor is horrifying. I can't imagine how Simon Wessley escaped criminal charges for the sadistic " treatment " of Ean Proctor. At the very least, he should have been struck off. Here's the story as contained within the paper for anyone unfamiliar with this case. Does anyone know what happened to Ean Proctor after all this? How is he now? Thanks. > > Jan (Australia) > > >
