Guest guest
I've been managing my moods for years with St. 's Wort (one 500 mg capsule, morning and evening) and 5-HTP (one small capsule at night). Ever since I first got sick, I've had a tendency toward cyclic/situational depression, and this regime has completely resolved that (and without SSRIs and their side effects, which is a Good Thing.). My moods are always pretty happy and upbeat as a result. It's been a totally effective solution. However, in another few weeks (after I take a couple more steps down Rich's methylation protocol), I'm going to be ready to try SAMe. I understand that this, too, can be a powerful mood elevator. ly, I'm afraid of overdoing, and possibly sending myself into either a manic state, and/or a fit of serotonin overload and exhaustion. Should I decrease or entirely drop the SJW before starting on SAMe? How about the 5-HTP? If so, how far in advance should I stop taking them? Thoughts, experiences, and/or suggestions appreciated very much. Thanks, all. Sara
