Guest guest
Hi, Tom. Yes, I found that very interesting. Dr. Tim Guilford is speaking on it. He's the originator of Lipoceutical Glutathione, and he's certainly had experience with it. I sent him my paper some time ago, and followed it recently with my post on the connection between CFS and autism. I'm kind of curious about the connection between RED Labs and glutathione. I know that Dr. DeMeirleir uses glutathione in his practice, including Lipoceutical Glutathione. I gave him a copy of my paper at the October 2004 AACFS meeting, and he told me at that time that he was using it. I've decided not to apply to attend the meeting. Don't know if they would accept me anyway. I suspect that they are trying to interest practitioners in using RED lab tests and Lipoceutical Glutathione. It seems like a strange locale in which to hold the meeting, but maybe it's in connection with the new CFS institute that has been set up at the U. of Nevada in Reno by the State of Nevada. That would make some sense. Well, Reno is a fairly long drive over the Sierras from here, and the driving conditions can be nasty in the winter, so I think I'll let this one go by, but I do think it's very interesting. Guest guest
Thanks for posting this, jim. I sent an e-mail to REDLABS, asking if tape/DVD/transcript might be made available later. I'm interested in all, but particularly Dr. P's efforts. This is very limited data: I had the chance to talk to one patient who went through the IV Vistide/Cidovir - who had talked to two other patients. She said her post-ttmt LP was clear of (previously present) HHV-6, but that she didn't feel any better. One of the other patients felt better, mostly with less cognitive dysfunction. It would be substantial to know whether the HHV-6 (very hopefully) remains gone/inactive, or (very hopefully not) reactivates at a later date. Rhetorical questions: - is Vistide/Cidovir the most (cost) effective ttmt against HHV-6? potential adverse side-effects to the body/kidneys? Can other ttmts match its efficacy (if so)? Nexavir? Antigen-specific transfer factor? officinalis? Olive leaf extract? Ampligen? Guest guest
Ta. It's up now on Co-Cure (which then gets circulated elsewhere incl. to a doctors' list (or used to anyway)) so hopefully if they were short numbers, it might help. Guest guest
I did not mean to leave GSH off the other (than Vistide) potential HHV-6 ttmt list, as it is included in the seminar. Probably more could be added Lance > > > > there's a conference coming up in a few weeks. some big-wigs will > be there. > > note that only docs can go. > > > > jim > > > > > > > > REDLABS U.S.A. is pleased to announce the first of its International > Seminar > > Series > > > > CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME and THE INTERFERON SYSTEM > > > > snip

I'm in the neighborhood, so I dropped by the Peppermill, a place I know to be " SBS " . Considering that trichothecenes are known to cleave RNase L, I thought that KDM might be interested in discussing my story; A connection that I'm sure Rich will appreciate. Just perchance, I thought that I might run into some CFSers and ask how the place affected them. Much to my disappointment, there was no seminar there. A little research yielded the fact that the seminar had moved at the last minute to the exclusive resort at Redhawk, a private club with lots of security and no access to the public. Isn't that neat? REDlab at REDhawk? And to think I'm only about a mile away, too! But alas, can't get in without a pass. Can't wait to hear what transpired. -
Guest guest
Good news - RedLabs will be making a DVD of Day 1 of the seminar available. Details will be on their website (not sure when): http://www.redlabsusa.com/ > > Any reports yet/did anyone go? > > > I'm in the neighborhood, so I dropped by the Peppermill, a place I > know to be " SBS " . > Considering that trichothecenes are known to cleave RNase L, > I thought that KDM might be interested in discussing my story; > A connection that I'm sure Rich will appreciate. > Just perchance, I thought that I might run into some CFSers and ask > how the place affected them. > Much to my disappointment, there was no seminar there. > A little research yielded the fact that the seminar had moved at the > last minute to the exclusive resort at Redhawk, a private club with > lots of security and no access to the public. > Isn't that neat?
