Guest guest
I had a high -early antigen- titer of EBV which showed that I was still actively infected. An infectious disease doc a few years ago told me that I really needed to get this down because it was a risk factor for breast cancer and I think some other cancers. I've been taking Acyclovir ever since, initially at 2400 mg/day, then 1200 mg/day; my internist/CFS doc says that if I stop it the EBV will probably reactivate. The titer went down after a long time to more acceptable levels, but I wouldn't say I feel any better or worse. I have found that to be true for most of the medicines and supplements I take - I really can't notice any difference and much of what I take is based on a theoretical or long-term benefit rather than a sense that it really makes me feel better. >Acyclovir has been used in autism. Has anyone used it lokgterm for >CFS. What for? What happened?
