Hi, n, where did you buy your D-ribose? Is one brand better than

another? I am already taking CoQ10 and Magnesium, but I want to add the

L-carnitine and D-ribose.

The L carnitine was easy to find.

These supplents supposedly help mitochondria in all the muscles, as well

as heart muscles. Thanks, Vickie

Hi n,

Thanks for your post about Dr. Sinatra's protocol. I,

too, bought his book and plan to try his protocol.

Like you, I am sensitive to vitamins, so it will take

a while for me be able to take the five he recommends.

Keep us posted.

Hi n,

Good news. I'm an 'about to be' patient of DR M, and likewise have real

problems with supplememnts. Please do keep us up-dated. Are you also

using the L carnitine and magnesium or have you simply introduced the D

ribose sp far?

Also are you in the uk and a patient of DR M, as there is a very new

very small group for patients using her protocol?

Rosie

Hi

Have been trying the treatment plan as outlined in Dr Myhill's article

and

having read the book she recommends by Dr Sinatra, The Sinatra Solution.

300mg Co enzyme Q10, 200mg L carnitine, 400-800mg Magnesium, 15 grams D

ribose. I was already taking 100 mg Q10 so that was already in my

symstem.

After 1 week must say I am noticing the effects. I am really quite ill

so

any improvement is something. Very sensitive to even vitamin pills so

was

very wary as the d ribose is a sugar and though it might cause my rotten

gut

to blow up but have noticed no problems and usually things affect me

within

a couple of days. Energy levels are a little better and have not crashed

in

the afternoons. It has not given me the horrible hype that some things

give

me which just actually just make things worse. Early days but just

thought I

would post in case anyone was thingking of trying the D ribose

n

This list is intended for patients to share personal experiences with

each other, not to give medical advice. If you are interested in any

treatment discussed here, please consult your doctor.

Hi Rosie

Alas , I am not a patient of Dr M as she is not taking new patients but

decided to go it alone. I am taking the whole treatment plan as she has

outlined and as in Dr Sinatra's book. Very poorly so will have to see if it

helps, so far a bit encouraged. Am going to see Perrin the osteopath

next week as he mentions all the stuff I have with the bad upper back and

the pain under the ribs ect. The cost is astronomical!! I could not beleive

it £250 pounds, but I heard myself saying yes to the appointment. I hope I

get champagene and caviar, don't know what I am especting but that is the

sort of thing you do when desperate.

Hi n,

I tried the perrin protocol for about 18 months with an osteopath who

had been trained by him but was local to me. I'm afraid to say it did

absolutely nothing at all. I don't want to negate any positive feelings

you may have about the treatment, as it might work for you, though

another pwme was seeing the same osteopath at the same time and she felt

it actually made her feel worse. To me it came into the category of'

great on paper, useless in theory' Funnily I've heard very little about

it since I tried it in 1999/2000, and wondered if it had rather melted

away because of lack of success. It may be worth your while, before

parting with a lot of money to ask them if they can put you in touch

with people who have benefited - or perhaps contact one of the ME

charities and see id they have any greater positive feedback.

Hope all continues to go well with the D ribose,

Rosie

Hi

i got the ribose from aviform, don't know if this is the cheapest as have

not had a really good search. It seems much cheaper in the USA but always

seem to end up paying so much in tax and the time in takes have given up.

Does anyone know if D ribose will feed gut pathogens (ie. yeast or parasites)?

It made me jittery. I tried reducing the dosage several times, but it still made

me jittery. After a year I quit the product and felt better.

from my experience, if i take ribose at the wrong time, it makes me jittery as

well. a blood sugar thing i think. anyway, i take it about 20 minutes before

eating and that does the trick. i take it before an activity, and also after to

try to replenish. it seems to help me.

sadly it doesn't take much at all to be considered doing an activity for me

anymore. something as simple as light cleaning for a couple minutes, or if i'm

able to be driven to an appointment. i seem to pay a little less and recoup a

lottle better with ribose, tho i can't be 100% sure.

Although it is supposed to be a simple sugar and not feed yeast I have found

this to be quite the opposite.

A small amount of Ribose would cause my stomach to bloat up in the same way that

a glass of orange juice would.

I also experienced very upset blood sugar levels and hypoglycaemia, probably

partly from the alcohol produced from the yeast acting on the ribose.

I have since read that there are some people who metabolize ribose back to

simple sugars. In either case I think this would result in it not having it's

desired effect.

The only way to see is to try a small bit and see how you react.

Ribose works well for me. Especially in the beginning, it got me out of a rut of

constant crashing.
