Guest guest
I have elevated insulin levels and have gained a lot of weight with cfs. I am not diabetic. I was afraid to try glucophage. Dr. Shoemaker put me on Actos, not the same thing, and I got elevated liver enzymes even while on a low carb diet. I knew people on glucophage who started retaining fluids - swollen ankles and such. It made me nervous. So I just stuck with low carb dieting and trying to increase exercise levels when I am well enough to do so. I was just curious though, thinking that your bad experience on glucophage could be because eating carbohydrates along with glucophage probably does not work. a Carnes > > > My cousin, 6 years with CFIDS got well to glucophage and > > > a diabetic diet. > > > > > > Tried a litany of treatments before that.
