Hi,

I'm surprised that you didn't take Penicillin to begin with. It

seems that Dr. Fritz Schardt prefers Penicillin.

See: http://www.immunesupport.com/library/showarticle.cfm/ID/6431

A quote:

" JN: What is your current protocol?

FS: I recommend 200 milligrams a day, for 50 days.(Fluconazole)

There are now 200 milligram pills available, so once a day is fine.

Then I recommend 20-30 days of any of the penicillins I mentioned.

You may have to go through several cycles of this protocol. You must

also be very aware of other drugs that act on the p450 enzyme

system, specifically a subset that inhibits CYP3A4. You should not

be taking any of these drugs at the same time as you take diflucan.

JN: What are some of these drugs?

FS: There are many, and it's best to check with your doctor. Some

common ones are erythromycin, amitryptylin, midazolam, Lovastatin,

and others. "

The infectious disease doctor I see in Kansas City has recommended

the following:

Fluconazole for 2 months 200mg/day. After 2 weeks on the Fluconazole

start Penicillin 500mg/4x/day. Repeat 60 day cycles as necessary.

In addition, Dr. B recommended green tea extract at around 800

mg/day. Green tea extract greatly potentiates the effect of

Fluconazole. He stated by 40 times! I couldn't find a reference for

this claim, but did find this information in the Oxford journal.

http://jac.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/full/53/2/225

I'm taking Life Extension green tea extract. It is high quality/high

potency, is half price until August and I tolerate it better than

other brands. www.lef.org. Dr. B likes Soloray's product.

I started the Schardt protocol 1 week ago and I'm having major

herxes just from the Diflucan and green tea extract. The major

symptom is pain. Big time joint pain: wrists, elbows and right leg

and lower back. This kind of herx is consistent with borrelia die

off.

Watch for hypoglycemia though. Fluconazole may cause it in a hurry.

I will start the Penicillin in 1 week.

I'm currently also taking:

Prevacid- for esophagitis and duodenitis

Klonopin- 1 1/2 mg at night for pain

Testosterone- for studliness <jk>

various supplements

I'm also Rifing with my custom made EMEM and getting strong herxes

from 727 hz for 10 minutes 1x/week.

Best,
