Guest guest
Bob, I urge you strongly to get out & stay out of that mobile home as soon as you can. You know it is making you sick, Both from the formaldehyde & the mold. Do not risk your health further. It is too high a price to pay
Guest guest
It is really hard to get rid of mold, if not impossible once it has gotten in between walls without taking everything out tearing it down & sterilizing it with toxic bleach & replacing everything. Just trying to seal it up will give it more of a chance to grow in the dark environment,. I know it is not easy to find a place to live to move to. I am having to move from a very safe rental house I have been in for 12 yrs & cannot find anything that has not been freshly painted. Good luck

People on the list know that I always complain about feeling bad when I return here. I keep hoping to find a place I can live and feel decent. I would put this place up for sale if I had another place to live. I also think that there is so much fungus and mold spores in the air around Dallas that just being outside can make one feel bad. I have to see my psychiatrist on Tuesday then I am headed for the Big Bend area of Texas where the air is clean and and not humid. What seems to be simple answers for normal people, become difficult ones for us. I appreciate your concern.
Guest guest
Bob-since you are suicidal, have you thought about moving back to Mexico, or at least the desert? If you can't take the heat, the humidity is very low in places like Flagstaff AZ, Durango CO, etc. You can look at weather.com to see what the humidity is in a place that you might like to go. At this point, you need to get to a dry climate. I could go in to more details, but at higher elevations the humidity is lowere and wood doesn't rot for decades if not centuries, even being exposed to weather. I am going to some mountains in the Big Bend area fo Texas. They are about 7,000 ft above sea level so not that high but I felt better the three days I was there. Main problem is that the town only has 7,000 people and it is the largest city for 150 miles. Listen, my suicidal thoughts have left. I read where grapefruit juice was good for inflammation, cancer, muscous and a lot of other stuff. I can feel the inflammation in my brain when I get the suicidal thoughts. I started drinking grapefruit juice three days ago and by the second day, My brain starting feeling better and I have drank at least 64 oz everyday. The bitter stuff is naringen and sounds like a wonder drug. that is the only thing that I am doing different from 3- 4 days ago. I found out that the ruby red juice has a bunch of corn- sweetner in it and the white grapefruit juice doesn't. If anyone else trys that stuff, please post any results. Pastor in charge...lol. , something which I think runs along the same lines, fungus. Dallas weather reports give the mold and fungus spore counts. Yesterday they gave the fungus count at 2107 (I don't know what that means) and said that was extremely high. Mold spores are also high in the air. Would a PWC have problems just inhaling the air high in fungus and mold spores? Bob

Would a PWC have problems just inhaling the air high in fungus and mold spores? > Bob Bob, sure they would. PWC's tend to be hit by allergies to common mold spores. But the only mold component that I am concerned with is from specific mycotoxins that are produced by certain toxin forming molds feeding on building materials. The most potent toxin formers have more limited range due to their large and heavy spores, so " spore counts " from these weather reports tell you nothing about toxic exposure. Mold toxins remain whether the spore is alive or dead so bleaching or killing the mold by any means, including just depriving the colony of water can dry out the colony and liberate clouds of lightened dead spores and INCREASE your exposure to mycotoxins. Like Dr Shoemaker says, we have a great deal of experience with this problem - and the solutions sold by snake oil salesmen will only lighten your wallet but not your toxic burden. Mold will certainly grow on cement, if the cement has absorbed organic materials which will support the colony or is adjacent to anything that mold likes to feed on. Mold will even grow down the length of the strands of fiberglass insulation by passing along nutrients from the closest source. So as long as one portion of a mold colony on cement has access to food, and the concrete is a source of moisture, mold can grow bridge the gap and spread onto areas where it otherwise wouldn't grow. - Still preaching " StacHysterianism "
Guest guest
Hi That's great you found something! I use Grapefruit Seed Extract for my sinuses and it is supposed to kill mold, bacteria, etc. But the thing I notice most is it reduces the inflammation and I never understood why. My sinuses get swollen a lot where they just feel like the airways are blocked, but the GSE immediately reduces the swelling and I can breathe better. I think you're onto something.
