Guest guest
Dear : Is pregnenolone considered the " mother of all hormones " ? I am already supposed to be taking DHEA but have stopped. It seemed to be helping my energy but now I have lost my menstrual cycle. I was wondering if any other ladies had this happen or if it is just a coincidence and something else ...like perimenopause is to blame???? Guest guest
Teena, I started it after menopause so I can't say. But it has grown hair where I really do not enjoy it at all! I backed off partway. I use it in a sublingual spray form and take only the tiniest amounts every so often. Get a bit of a boost. I haven't checked levels of testosterone since I backed down, but when I was taking it very regularly, even though I was getting a minute fraction of a dose, my testosterone levels were outside the range for females. Guest guest
I also started taking pregnenolone after menopause. I take a little DHEA and a little testosterone as well as a little estrogen - " bioidentical " hormones. At first the pregnenolone made me feel much better, and like everything else, the effects have worn off. My hormones are monotored by my doc and are in a good range. As for effects, nothing one cannot expect for my (yuck) age. Michele G. > Teena, > I started it after menopause so I can't say. But it has grown hair where I really do not enjoy it at all!
