Mucus that burns the skin of the nostrils

Hi Everyone,

I wonder if anyone has had a reaction similar to mine or could give

some insight. When I was trying to take Immunocal and Immunpro, I

could tolerate only about a teaspoon a couple times a day of the

product because it caused the mucus from my nose to burn the skin

inside and around the openings of my nostrils. It became so sore that

I had to stop the products in order to let the skin heal. Now, the

same thing is happening while I am taking Glutathione Precursor

capsules. I can only take them for a few days, then the skin around

my nose is burning and cracking and I have to stop the product and

give the skin time to heal.

At first I didn't use any method to try to heal it faster. Now,

I wash the area several times a day with soap and water and use

Neosporin ointment for the pain and to help it heal.

I have very elevated levels of mercury. And I've been severely ill

with CFIDS for 17 years--bedridden most days & have to use a

wheelchair to go more than a block. My liver doesn't detox well.

I wonder this: is it the mercury that is causing the burning of my

skin as I try to detox it or could I be sensitive to one of the

amino acids in the whey and glutathione precursors? I've heard of

some people being sensitive to certain vitamins or minerals. BTW, my

nose runs a lot whether I am taking these products or not, so it

isn't just that factor. The burning happens only when I'm on a whey

product or the Glutathione Precursors. I've used Reduced GSH without

this effect.

I will appreciate any thoughts on this.

Hi ,

also heavy merucry level 2 and toxic but no longer

bedridden all day.

i never had your symptom but some thoughts about it.

.... is it possible that your body is trying to get rid of toxins from the

sinus area and its stimulated by the immunocal and immunpro + gluthatione

precurser?

i think if you try using the immunocal insteaad of the immunpro it will

be easier as the immunopro seems to be more potent and eaier to react to

from my experiance.

also try cutting down your dose to less than a teapsooon., might slow down

the burning

...when i used to take the immunocal too early in the day when my body was

still sleeping though i was awake , i was more intoerant .of whey products

... its easier in the pm for my body with new thigs or hard to take things

..also if u are senstive your multiple doses maybe too close toeghter time

wise

...i had to quit taking the whey proteins years ago as I was @ 1/ 8

teaspoon once daily ago as i detoxed faster than my body could handle the

toxins....

though i now can tolearte 2 scoops of immunropro a day..it took a l o n g

time to get where i am at..

if you happen to have any shea butter in the house it works great on a raw

, sore nose area

feel better , tea
