Guest guest
Hi: What's a good approach to follow if you're diagnosed with yeast overgrowth? As far as I understand, yeast becomes out of control, thus producting the myriad of symptoms, because the immune system gets weak for whatever reasons (glutathione depletion, virus, hypercoagulation, stress, etc.) But, once yeast has overgrowth is in our bodies, what's a good way to get rid of it? If you're for example depleted in glutathione and start building it, will this kill the yeast, or do you need to take an antifungal agent first and then start strenghtening the immune system or maybe do both things at the same time. I guess that if you just kill the yeast with antifungals and not strenght the immune system, it will kick back again once you stop the antifungals; on the other hand, if you just strenght your immune system and not use any kind of yeast agent, will your immune system become strong enough in the presence of a yeast overgrowth. I have seen several natural supplements (probiotics, grapefruit seed extract, olive leaf extract, etc.) as well as prescription drugs (nystatin, diflucan, etc.) which are supposed to get rid of yeast , but I wonder what people's experiences have been in dealing with yeast overwrogth and immune system issues. Thanks, o
Guest guest
o, It's best not to view candida as an isolated occurrence. Candida is often secondary to: -Parasites -Low zinc + metallothionein -Estrogen dominance -Elevated mercury -Immunosuppression (as you pointed out) -Dysbiosis A comprehensive digestive stool analysis + 3-day purged parasitology from great smokies would be ideal. The first thing you need to do, if you are not already, is get on a diet which strictly avoids all refined sugars (including juice, honey, etc.) and refined carbohydrates.
