Guest guest
I had emailed Dr Whitaker at Bowen abt a month ago, with some questions I had regarding the testing, cost, etc - and have not received a response(her email address was the only address given on their site- if there had been another address, would have been glad to have tried that also). Do you happen to know the best way thru which to contact them and get a response? (I am assuming that there is also a lab located at Bowen, not just Dr Whitaker's office? So then there should be more than one person at Bowen?) Thank you for any insight or info you can give me on this - les ----- Original Message ----- From: shogi64 Sent: Sunday, March 13, 2005 6:24 PM Subject: 17 keto-DHEA, tinnitus (DMSO)--lyme test info (Q-RIBb) Hi Group, Anybody try any of these. the 7keto DHEA supposedly doesn't convert to estrogen as DHEA, but need to double check. Any good tinnitus remedies out there...been meaning to research this some but came across some stuff with DMSO. If somebody could put together some links on tinnitus and possible remedies that would be great. Any takers, i'm busy on other stuff... Has anybody ever done straight DMSO, let's just say I've heard of a few people that get the IV's (but not for CFS). Waiting on the liquid eldepryl(decided to go with drops) Keep you posted. btw: http://www.gordonresearch.com/answers/chronic_infections_products_trea tments_that_work.html Q-RIBb vs. Igenex for Lyme test? Can't cost much for a 20 min. test and checks for babesia. Fortunately, Joanne Whitaker, whom I mentioned last month, has solved the problem of false negatives. Not only has Dr. Whitaker faced her own long-standing chronic Lyme disease from childhood, but she's also a specialist in infectious diseases, hematology/oncology, and has many medical certifications. Dr. Whitaker has developed what appears to be the most reliable test ever for Lyme disease. Her lab actually tests for the presence of the bug itself, not just the antibodies. And, resting my concerns, she told me that her methods also detect the cell wall deficient (CWD) form. Her test is called Q-RIBb for quantitative rapid identification of Bb (the abbreviation of Lyme disease's scientific name). The test simply uses an antibody to Lyme derived from animals that's modified to carry a fluorescent molecule. The antibodies will attach to both the spirochete form and the CWD form and, under the right color, will light up under a microscope. With this test, Dr. Whitaker not only can detect Lyme directly, but she can do it in only 20 minutes and she can tell you how bad the infection is by the number of bugs present. This list is intended for patients to share personal experiences with each other, not to give medical advice. If you are interested in any treatment discussed here, please consult your doctor. Guest guest
I had something help with my tinnitis but it wasn't intentional. When trying various ABX my doc thought we should give Cipro a whirl. Right off I started noticing a bit of dizziness whnne I would bend over, didn't give it to much thought. About night 4, I was woken up by a severe bout of vertigo. I thought I was going to die, the room was just swirling around. Didn't matter if I sat up or layed down. I literally managed to crawl down stairs to get my husband, and he called the pharmacy. Sure enough Cipro can cause vertigo. Stopped and over the days, the vertigo subsided, but so did a lot of the tinnitis in my right ear. Later I did some research on Cipro and it can accumulate in the inner ear, and it can cause deafness. So was I having an inner ear herx? I kind of think that is what it was. Been scared to death to try it again though, but I have definetly thought about it. Right ear has continued to have less tinnitis to this day and it has probably been 2 1/2 years at least. - In , " shogi64 " <shogi64@y...> wrote: > > Hi Group, > Anybody try any of these. > the 7keto DHEA supposedly doesn't convert to estrogen as DHEA, but > need to double check. > > Any good tinnitus remedies out there...been meaning to research this > some but came across some stuff with DMSO.
