However, when my HMO pharmacy switched me from regular Klonopin a couple years ago to the generic Klonopin, I didn't notice that much difference. Do any of you have different experiences? When my new HMO gave me a generic version, I noticed it was more effective. However, I'm assuming that was because my body became accustomed to the original formula. I have used 2mg of clonazepam for sleep for about 13 years now and it has worked for me and I haven't had to increase the dose. I have used generic clonazepam from the get-go, and it has helped me for years. I take 0.75 mg (1.5 of the .5 mg tablets) as part of my pre-bed meds. I have no idea if the brand Klonopin would be any better, but the generic works for me.
