Can anybody confirm the efficacy of the subordinated treatment

against sinusitis?

I suffer from it for years and NOTHING has helped so far!

Even the sea-water here in Costa Rica doesnt help the slightest bit!

thanks

fox

Sinusitus treatment

Dr. Vrchota said, " When I found out that everyone from Weil

to the Mayo Clinic was recommending nasal irrigation for chronic

sinusitis, I said,

'Well, even though I hate water up my nose, maybe

I should recommend it, and the patients really love it! It makes

their sinusitis go away. " She said that another treatment that has

made a huge difference is one that Dr. Teitelbaum developed with

Cape Apothecary.

It consists of Sporonox 0.2% to kill the fungus,

xylitol to keep the staph from clinging to the mucous membranes,

Bactroban, Beclamethasone and Nystatin.

She said that as a result

of using these treatments, she doesn't have any patients with

sinusitis anymore--not any.

Fox, I can't guarantee it, but I think it sounds like a really

reasonable approach and wish more ENTs would opt for something like

this before going straight for the drill.

Well, I have been doing a colloidal silver nasal spray now for several

months, up to 4 times a day as my Dr. ordered for my chronic sinus problems &

he

said it would also help my lung congestion & wheezing.

But I have really not noticed that much difference except the temporary

clearing of my sinuses & the glutithione nasal spray works better for that.

Hi Fox,

Colloidal silver is meant to be very good for sinus infections. The first link

here is to a site that tells you how to flood your sinuses with CS. It is easy

to do.

We find we can feel quite herxy with it ( for us it takes the form of increased

mental and physical fatigue and fluey achyness at times ) So beware I would

start of with just doing it once a day and see how you get on. Remember that the

CS will be absorbed into your bloodstream via the sinuses too so you will

possobly be killing off bacteria/viruses in your body too.

We already take CS orally but started flooding our sinuses as I had had bad

sinus infections in the past and some doctors like Shoemaker are finding staph

negative infections in CFS patients so we thought we would do this too in case

it is a factor in our illness. Taking CS in these 2 ways is helping us slowly

but surely and without the toxic side effects of ABX. We also have

borrelia/lyme.

The first link is to a site that tells you how to flood your sinuses with CS and

the second one is to a list where the use of CS for infections is discussed. You

would find a lot of knowledgeable people there on the uses of CS and a good

archive.

You can make your own CS which is the only really economical way to do it if you

were going to do it regularly, over time.

Whatever, I hope you find something to relieve your sinus infections, very

painful and draining thing to have.

Best wishes,

Sheila

Hi Fox,

The Grossan irrigator has been a big success for my

sinus infections. These had a coloured discharge

(often green and bleeding). Sorry if TMI.

One poster to this group reported adding nystatin to a

nasal wash and said that it worked for him.

With warmest regards,

Annette

I found the nasal sprays didn't help, no matter what was in them. I

tried rx antibiotics and antifungals, silver, garlic, etc. It was only

when I used the irrigation that I started to get some improvement.

yesterday my osteopath gave me two herbal tinctures (Yerba Mansa and

Anemopsis) to add to the salt water I use, as sinus season is on again.

I think the irrigation does two things. First, it washes out mucous

and infectious organisms, allowing better drainage and aeration.

Second, it does a more thourough job of applying whatever substance

you are using to treat.

I am using American Biotech Labs Silver Biotics from Beyond-a- Century.com.

It says it has been tested by Major Universities & independant labs for

effectiveness & supposed to be 200% or 300% more effective than other products

tested & the price is very reasonable.

I have a viajet spray machine for cleaning the mouth with different

attachments to shoot water for dental cleaning.

Can I use that with the colloidal Silver & some xylitol & maybe some

nyastatin powder for chronic sinusitus do you think? I find it difficult to use

for

even my mouth & I rarely use it anymore & it is always very painful when I

get water up my nose. But I am worried more about my lung congestion which my

Dr. seems to think is connected to my sinus congestion. If it would help

that, I would try it.

How often a day do you use the sinus irrigation treatment?

Thanks for any suggestions,

C.J.

The following e-mail was received from a member of our local support

group after I had shared an e-mail posted on Experimental about an

effective treatment for sinusitis.

The reply below set me wondering if others may also have gut

involvement as part of the cause of their sinus problems. I

remember hearing a scientist interviewed a couple of years ago

saying that some detrimental organisms (E. coli in particular, if

I'm remembering correctly) has become a problem because cattle are

fattened with grains right before slaughtering; and that this

practice was causing a build up of these bad organisms in the cattle

and being passed on in the meat. He further said that if they were

allowed several weeks after being fed the grains to be on hay, much

of this condition would clear up. Many of us, I believe, develop

conditions because of sensitivity to grains which leads to further

worsening of our problems. bg

Thank you so much for all the valuable information you send via

I will confirm the nasal irrigation as a cure for c[h]ronic

sinusitus. I suffered for twenty years and had two surgeries before

I learned about it. Dr. in Tyler gave me the info. I use a

pre mixed product from NeilMed, 1 877 477 8633. Also, as you know, I

have suffered many illnesses over the years and am almost sure now

that an allergy to wheat has been the problem. A disease known as

Celiac. I will let you know if all my pboblems are resolved with the

no wheat, oat or barley diet.

With love and gratitude to you,

JC

* it is always very painful when I get water up my nose.

On the WaterPik, you use the lowest setting. Also, the Xylitol does seem

to be a worthy addition to the Nystatin. And try tilting your head way

back.

Dr. Jaceb Tietelbaum recommends the following three treatments for

*Chronic & Acute Sinusitis:*

* *Sinusitis Nose Spray (Rx)* - By prescription from Cape Drug

(800-248-5978). Contains Sporanox, Xylitol, Bactroban, Beclamethasone

and Nystatin. Use 1-2 sprays in

each nostril twice a day for 6-12 weeks. If it irritates the nose, use

nasal saline spray just before using the prescription. Use with silver

spray below.

* *Nasal silver spray*-5-10 sprays in each nostril three times a day for

7-14 days until the sinusitis resolves (from www.EndFatigue.com.

Wholesale from www.natural

-immunogenics.com or 888-328-8840)

145. *Nasal Irrigation (Rx)* - Get 1 liter of normal saline with 100mg

Amphotericin B and a second liter with 80mg gentamycin. Use 1 ounce of

each in each nostril as a

nasal rinse twice a day as needed.
