Guest guest
Dear friends, colleagues and acquaintances, During 2005 I will be doing an original honours research project at Curtin University (Perth, Western Australia) in which my primary goal will be to investigate copper and zinc metabolism in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. In order to perform this research I need to raise a minimum of $1500 AUS. The money will go primarily towards laboratory testing (plasma zinc and serum copper) of test and control subjects. This research proposal was inspired by research at The Pfeiffer Treatment Center (Illinois) documenting abnormalities of copper/zinc metabolism in Autistic populations, which has led to promising treatments. They believe that this abnormal copper/zinc metabolism indicates metallothionein dysfunction, which plays a large role in the development of Autism. (see: www.hriptc.org/booklet.html) I hypothesize that a significant subgroup of people with CFS have a similar (although less severe) abnormality. There is presently direct evidence of glutathione (a direct 'relative' of Metallothionein) deficiency in CFS. If you would be willing to make a donation to help support this research, please email me or phone (08) 9381 4112, within Australia, about payment options. Any donation will be greatly appreciated! Please forward this email to anyone you know who may be interested. Regards, Blake Graham, BSc (Nutrition) Wembley, Perth, Western Australia www.nutritional-healing.com.au
