Hi

The last six months or so I have had persistant bouts of viral

reactivation - mild sore throats, burning glands and extra fatigue/malaise.

I have controlled it somewhat with arabinogalactan but its still causing me

problems

Has anyone found anything that helps this problem

Hi ,

Only Imunovir has helped me in this way. This is a

prescription medicine in the UK but I believe that a

similar concoction can be created by mixing together 2

supplements. The info. may be in the archives of this

group.

Contact me off-line if you would like some more

information.

With warmest regards,

Annette

Hi

Thank you Annette. The mixture of 2 supplements sounds interesting. I will

have a quick search of the archives

Annette,

If you are referring to CMV, EBV, and HHV6, do a search for Dr.

ph Brewer's web site. He is an infectious disease specialist

who is doing a lot of work in this area. He is recommending

Immune64 (a colostrum product tweaked to give immunity against the

viruses mentioned above. It is available from Immunity Today, but I

recommend you have a physician involved in your decision whether or

not to use it. My own physician did some testing on my NK cells and

found mine were too low. He will retest after I've been on the

Immune64 for a few months to see if there is improvement.

When our immune systems get down far enough, old dormant viruses are

able to reactivate. Viruses never leave our body, and are either

active or dormant once they enter. Often it is because our Natural

Killer Cells are too low and our glutathione is also too low (this

is what I've read).

Hi

I got a lot of improvement with this from colostrum and especially transfer

factor. I would take the transfer factor on a regular basis such as morning and

night, and whenever I had the sore throat/flu thing I would take several

colostrum and it would usually stop.

Lately I haven't had the flu symptoms for quite a while. I haven't been taking

either of these on a regular basis, but I take Famvir everyday. That is a

prescription antiviral.

Most of my worst symptoms have been from viruses. It is definitely worth

treating them and you will feel much better! You probaby should test to see

what virus you have, then you can target with the right transfer factor.

Olive Leaf Extract, 3 capsules twice a day. I get the pharmaceutical

quality stuff from www.lef.org (NAYY...).

That and substituting whey protein drinks for breakfast more frequently,

increasing the amount of water I drink, and using one packet of

Emergen-C per day (cranberry).

I have several questions:

This past summer, without thinking, I had to have 3 steriod shots, knee surgury,

then this past fall I had brochitis twice, bronchial pneumonia, ear infection,

and several sinus infections-I guess that would reactivate my absolutely

horrendous 'from the inside out' feeling of all of my energy and strenth sucked

out of me???? I still find it hard to believe especially since I was doing

better (you'd think I'd learn by now since I've had cfs/fm since the early 80's.

Would the Steriod shots, especially, really mess me up?

I also, for the first time in about 10 years had the EBV test done and are they

being done different or is it because of the State I live in? My past results

would always show a 1:#### ratio but this time my results showed a number (High)

but not in a ratio way; example, normal for EBV-VCA (IgG) reference range <20

and my result was ### H and my EBNA (IgG) reference range <20 but my result was

## H. So what gives? It would seem that my GP (her nurse practioner) is saying

that it just shows that I had a past infection-When I had this test done my

lymph glands under my chin where the size of golf balls and as I said my fatigue

has been horrendous. Any insight would be most helpful.

I'm sorry for making this so long as I myself just can't handle long emails-

Thank you for your insight-

Natasha
