i don't if anybody has brought this up here, but i was reading today

about a really interesting new treatment for MS which seems like it

could have some impact on CFS.

the product is called Aimspro and it is a polyclonal antibody derived

from Goats. the goats - as from my rudimentary understanding - are

inoculated against the HLA class II antigens that are commonly

referred to as possible markers for many auotimmune diseases like MS,

Lupus, RA etc...and CFS

i hope someone with more knowledge on this topic can post on this

topic, but as far as i can tell, this polyclonal antibody is supposed

to neutralise these destrcutive immune cells that present these HLA

antigens.....IS ANY OF THIS RIGHT??? i don't really know...

anyway, the initial reports of Aimspro in MS seem staggering - people

getting out of wheelchairs and walking. that sort of thing.

it is in trials for MS and i think RA also.....so it doesn't seem

like a huge leap to think that CFS could also benefit from this.

Rich, i put your name on the post because you have been very helpful

to me in the past in presenting complex ideas in a more

understandable way. i know that this isn't really your main area, but

i thought you might have some thoughts on it.

here's a link:

Rich, is there any concrete info on an HLA connection and CFS?

thanks

bill
