Guest guest
Hi, Cindi. I'm sorry to hear of your bouts with cancer. I don't have CFIDS, but I did have rectal cancer. I'm wondering if you are doing anything in the way of particular nutritional support. Guest guest
I wish I had a better response but all I can offer is all my prayers and a shoulder..bless you Cindi. If anyone knows where, it will be someone here. Hang on girl! Desperate For Some Help Hello You All, I have been receiving this newsletter for years. I don't have the time to read it as much as I should and most of you all are so intelligent on the subject of CFIDS. (It wouldn't surprise me if one of us comes up with a cure!) Anyways, I have suffered for about 15 years with CFIDS. I have tried many, many conventional and holistic approaches, with very little relief. Three years ago my world became even bleaker, when I was diagnosed with breast cancer on my 40th birthday. I went through all the conventional treatments. Afterwards, my CFIDS was much worse and I continued to struggle. This past year I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and I just completed the conventional protocal. Ovarian cancer is very serious and I am in desperate need to locate a physician or a clinic that will treat my immune disorder aggressively. (I am even willing to travel out of the US). I feel certain that the cause of my cancer is my autoimmune disorder and I am in desperate need to get treatment or I fear I will contend with another bout of cancer. I have been looking into stem cell transplantation. PLEASE if anyone out there is going through the same health struggles as me OR if anyone has any information that they can share with me that may led me to some relief I will be very grateful! (I don't read alot about people who suffer with CFIDS getting cancer, but I can't be the only one.) I look forward to your responses! Thank you in advance, Cindi CinNumber1@... Guest guest
Blake, , All, I agree with Blake about the Moss Reports. Several years ago after some routine neck x-rays that ended with 4 months of oncology workup for " Impression: Metastatic Bone & Liver Lesions " , I contacted Dr. Ralph Moss. I read so much information about him prior to this, including many, many testimonials from high profile public figures praising him, I decided he was the cancer expert most compatible with my views on complementary medicine. He went out of his way to help me, even before all the test results were in -- suggesting specific tests that had not been done or recommended. Fortunately, my experience had a happy ending; but we are probably never " out of the woods " completely. If I have any other dilemma associated with cancer, I will definitely contact him again. I also continue to receive his newsletter. Another avenue that I can heartily recommend is getting a copy of Dr. Quillin's book, " Beating Cancer With Nutrition. " It is a big help. Dr. Quillin is in California now, I believe. When I first was diagnosed with problems, he was with Cancer Centers of America in Tulsa. This particular hospital uses a complementary approach -- using traditional treatment as required, but supports the patient with complementary diet, meds, supplements to build up the patient. I believe there are several other of their hospitals about the country. Had I needed to be hospitalized, I would have gone to the Tulsa one as it is closer to me. I purchased this book for a young father (neighbor) who was diagnosed with lymphoma and was having conventional treatment. He was hospitalized when I took him the book. Several weeks later when we talked on the phone, he told me he was furious with his physicians after reading the Quillin book. There were no many things that they had done, or not done, that were actually harming him. He mentioned even the hospital food he learned was harmful, mentioning lots of sugar in things. He told me he started adhering to the recommendations by Dr. Quillin, and when we talked said he even felt like mowing the grass. He was a band director at two small colleges in our town (simultaneously) at the time. He is still doing well. I just did a search on Dr. Quillin and it found the Amazon site and his book. One of the 5-star testimonials about the book (there are several others) is one about a lady with breast cancer. I've copied/pasted it below: *****It' worth it!, March 18, 2004 Reviewer: Karin Coder from Cupertino, CA Beating cancer with nutrition is giving the reader all the background information about cancer and how to best fight it. In addition, Dr. Quillin outlines his approach for nutritional therapy. The reader can choose to buy the supplements seperately or can buy Immunopower, a combination of powder (for shakes) and pills. Yes, Immunopower has been developed by Dr. Quillin and is quiet expensive. But buying seperately (and I have tried to do this) is even more expensive. Unfortunately, cancer is not an easy or cheap disease to fight. Dr. Quillin talks a lot about Immunopower in his book, but only because it truly is the best thing out there to fight cancer. I was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer in Sept. 2002. At the time, I only underwent chemo without any additional nutrition therapy. My cancer metastasized and by January of 2004 I was back in chemo. This time, I had met some increadible cancer patients who had battled cancer with the help of Immunopower. I started to take the supplements myself right away. My tumor has since dissapeared!! My doctor called it highly unusual. I am 38 years old, mother of a 5 and a 9 year old boy. My doctor initially felt, that I might at most have 2 years more to live. He is now more confident than even I am, that I will live to see my own grandchildren. My husband is now taking ImmunopwerEZ, just as an insurance. Health, unfortunately, is not cheap, but rather worth every last penny. [end of testimonial] Good luck to you, , whatever you decide to do. bg > > >Hello You All, > > > >I have been receiving this newsletter for years. > >I don't have the time to read it as much as I should > >and most of you all are so intelligent on the subject > >of CFIDS.
