Guest guest
Dear CFS patients, Dr. Lapp (renound CFS specialist; www.drlapp.net) and Leonard , PhD have created an online CFS educational course with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the CFIDS Association of America. The free course is designed to enhance the chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) knowledge base of primary care providers and ancillary, multidisciplinary health care providers; specifically the diagnosis and management of this complex disorder. http://www.cfids.org/treatcfs/primary/about/about.asp Please, for your sake and the sake of other patients, inform your doctor of this course which only takes two hours to do!! Guest guest
My story about the great online course Blake mentions...... I ordered the DVD and other info available online free of charge.....took physician the hardbound copy and materials and handed out and post information on boards......gave to neighbors. Directed the school system to online course as well as physician offices and therapists There really is no longer an excuse for ignorance with CFS and hopefully with some education, all those suffering with this illness, will have greater respect from others once they educate themselves with these available resources. My son told a physician yesterday....when she asked to know more....woops now mom well....you just asked the wrong person to provide you with materials......she definitely has materials.......LOL! Just wait. I include link to cfids.org anytime I talk about cfids and just say .....in case you weren't aware.......and needed more info. I reference online course also. Re: CFS online educational course for doctors. Blake, Thanks for posting this information for doctors. By the way, are you in the medical field? I'm not as aware of posters' backgrounds as I probably should be. bg > Dear CFS patients, > > Dr. Lapp (renound CFS specialist; www.drlapp.net) and Leonard > , PhD have created an online CFS educational course with the Center > for Disease Control and Prevention and the CFIDS Association of America. > The free course is designed to enhance the chronic fatigue syndrome > (CFS) knowledge base of primary care providers and ancillary, > multidisciplinary health care providers; specifically the diagnosis and > management of this complex disorder. > > http://www.cfids.org/treatcfs/primary/about/about.asp > > Please, for your sake and the sake of other patients, inform your doctor > of this course which only takes two hours to do!! > > Regards, Blake Graham This list is intended for patients to share personal experiences with each other, not to give medical advice. Guest guest
Blake, Congratulations! That sounds really great. If I were starting my education and career over again, I'd most probably choose to become a certfied clinical nutritionist. I'm just hoping some of my college-bound grandchildren will consider this field, as it is one that is exciting and rewarding, for the clinician as well as the patient! bg > > > > > >>Dear CFS patients, > >> > >>Dr. Lapp (renound CFS specialist; www.drlapp.net) and > >> > >> > >Leonard > > > > > >>, PhD have created an online CFS educational course with the > >> > >> > >Center > > > > > >>for Disease Control and Prevention and the CFIDS Association of > >> > >> > >America. > > > > > >>The free course is designed to enhance the chronic fatigue > >> > >> > >syndrome > > > > > >>(CFS) knowledge base of primary care providers and ancillary, > >>multidisciplinary health care providers; specifically the > >> > >> > >diagnosis and > > > > > >>management of this complex disorder. > >> > >>http://www.cfids.org/treatcfs/primary/about/about.asp > >> > >>Please, for your sake and the sake of other patients, inform your > >> > >> > >doctor > > > > > >>of this course which only takes two hours to do!! > >> > >>Regards, Blake Graham > >> > >> > > > > > > > > > > > > > >This list is intended for patients to share personal experiences with each other, not to give medical advice. Guest guest
bg, I am graduating with a bachelor of science in nutrition in about 1 month. I then will become an associate of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine. I plan to open a practice soon. Treating CFS is my specialty and passion. Thanks for asking.
