And I imagine that he doubts that these people really understand the immune system well enough to try to tinker with it. If you want to convince him otherwise, then it would be a good idea to have something scientific to back it up. That's what he is, a scientist, and that's the way he evaluates things. JS: I understand he needs to be skeptical but by him not only suggesting that it wouldn't help but going even further by calling it " snake oil " is also jumping to the conclusion. (I'd rather see you arguing about a product called Transfer Factor with him than rife, because rife is a total guessing game.) I don't know what kind of evidence there is to suggest Transfer Factor can " reeducate the immune system " but I personally never saw enough to make me buy into it. JS: I was not about to get into arguing rife on MP group. Did TM suggest it works b/c of placebo? I didn't hear him say that but if so then just as much MP works by placebo. Guest guest
placebo? not sure what we're talking about now, jason. :-) penny (I don't think you need to get too worried. Trevor can admit if he's wrong. :-) > In a message dated 7/9/2004 11:28:32 AM Eastern Daylight Time, > writes: > > From my experience, Trevor's quite open to being educated and is > learning all the time. Guest guest
Hi (<jejma@...>), You wrote, " ...I think if anyone wants to be skeptical about Transfer Factor their skepticism should center around two claims... " I like the way you framed the possibilities, and hope that you will stay on this list in the role of a " science type. " We've got some good science types, but we can always use more--especially if you can tolerate dumb questions from people like me. Guest guest
Hey Sue, its np. I have plenty of dumb questions myself though... so whenever mine are a lot worse I'll probably not be able to be much use in helping you figure yours out.
