Guest guest
Hi, Nil. It sounds as though your digestive system is not functioning very well. I would guess that the problems that I discussed in message #69882 may apply to your case. I suggest trying the baking soda test that I described there first, to see what your stomach acid situation is. If you have very low stomach acid, your pancreas and liver will not be stimulated to secrete digestive enzymes and bile, respectively, when the food enters the duodenum. The acid is what gives the signal. If these are not secreted, the food will not be digested, and your body will not be able to absorb the nutrients it needs from them. Rich > Hi all, > I had some indigestion problems of fats, proteins and extreme constipation for the last 7 or 8 months and i am struggling with them. Lately I noticed something different. I eat hazel nuts from time to time and I noticed that hazel nuts are all in my stool as I have crunched them in my mouth. Not digested at all. Does anybody have any idea on what that means? > > Thanks.. > > Nil > > >
Guest guest
Hi, Nil. Yes, I mean sodium bicarbonate. I think it would be better if you put the crystals between a couple of pieces of wood or plastic, or maybe even paper, and crushed them to a powder. The size of the particles will affect how rapidly the sodium bicarbonate can react with stomach acid, and that will affect the timing of the burping, so I think this will matter. One quarter U.S. teaspoon will nearly fill two size 0 capsules. Rich > Hi Rich, > > Sorry I forgot to tell you. I had started using 2 capsules per day of betaine hcl 2 days ago. Thanks for saying that HCL initiates pancreatic enzymes and bile. Did not know that. > > About baking soda > Is it sodium bicarbonate?I have sodium bicarbonate at home in crystal form.It is not like finely powdered baking soda. I wonder if I can use it. > Also our tea spoons are much smaller than yours and I have trouble to determine how much 1/4 teaspoon is. Could you tell me how many 0 size capsules will be filled by 1/4 teaspoon approximately. > Thanks.. > Nil
Guest guest
Hi Nil, How about doing a colon hydrotherapy for the consipation?I dont know if it is available in Turkey. Or how about doing a enema with the fleet enema kit(it is available in USA- not sure what it is called in Turkey) You dont have to respond to this email as I know how limited energy you have. take care, Gayathri. >> It was as if I my intestinal muscles were so weak that they were >>>not being able to push the material. Guest guest
Hi, Nil, I'm very sorry about what you're going through. I have no problem talking about the gut and all its wonderful functions. Remember, I had rectal cancer, and I had lots of adventures in that department over a long time period! I wish I could tell you what is causing your current pain, but I can't. The gall bladder does sound like a possibility if it is in that area. I understand your reluctance to go to the hospital, but it would probably be a good idea to at least have a doctor diagnose what is causing this pain if it doesn't go away soon. Concerning the stomach, yes, it normally grinds food particles down until they are less than 2 millimeters in size, before letting them pass into the duodenum. If it is unable to grind a particularly hard particle to be smaller than this, it retains it until about 2 hours after the meal, and then lets it go on into the duodenum. Concerning the control of the digestive system, it is partly controlled by its own self-contained enteric nervous system, and partly by the autonomic nervous system from the brain stem. The parasympathetic arm of the autonomic nervous system operates on the digestive system via the vagus nerve. The sympathetic arm operates on the digestive system via nerves from the spine. There is also some hormonal interaction between the brain and the digestive system, and some immune system interaction via the mast cells. It's hard to say what is causing your motility problems. I don't know whether you take any opioid drugs. They will slow the motility of the gut. Low thyroid will also do it. I think it would be best if you could see a gastroenterologist. In the U.S., they will usually first try to determine if there is a structural problem, that is a mechanical obstruction of your gut, such as due to cancer or some other blockage, using things like barium enema or colonoscopy. If this is O.K., then they will have you drink a dye that shows up on X-ray and see how fast it moves through the digestive system by taking sequential X rays. If that comes out normal, they will diagnose functional bowel disease. If it is slow, they will explore further to find out why. One test they might run is a balloon expulsion test, in which they insert a catheter into the rectum, fill it with water, and ask you to expel it to see if you can. This sounds like a lot to go through, but it really is important to get your digestive system moving again, so I hope you will go and get checked out if it doesn't improve soon. Guest guest
Nil and Rich and All, Thank goodness for Rich's knowledge here. My comments here are just to add to the " mix " to brainstorm a bit. Nil, has your Alkaline Phosphatase test been elevated? If so, you might benefit from reading this information: http://www.chclibrary.org/micromed/00036740.html A friend in another state has been " partnering " with me in studying and understanding more about The Detoxx System protocols ( Kane, et al). These protocols especially benefit detoxification of the liver and gallbladder. My friend has been ill for over 20 years and has had severe debilitations. I, too, have a liver that apparently cannot detox as it is designed to do. I just received the following e-mail from her and am impressed with the results of her Alkaline Phosphatase test after using two potent protocols of the oral Detoxx System. (I've copied information about this test and what high and low results mean to us, to help us better understand its importance. See link above.) This does not help your immediate problem, but will give you something to think about. I purchased The Detoxx Book Physicians Guide which gives detailed guidelines for both IV and oral protocols. She wrote: I have been faithfully taking the phoschol and butyrex. 4 a day on phoschol and 4 a day on butyrex..The lastest on June 25..in normal range from 3x the norm in April! I was ecstatic as I did not use a lot of anything else to see how this worked! ... I was really happy about this. I was happy one thing resolved! [end of e-mail] Nil, have you been using a lot of fiber? If so, sometimes, it seems to hide out and make it difficult sometimes to have bms, instead of being helpful. Be sure to drink tons of pure water, and use those enemas if nothing is happening. Hopefully, you don't have a blockage of some type. This happened to me about a year or so ago (and I normally don't have these type problems). However, I had been on Cholestryamine (per physician) for 5 days, and was watching things carefully I thought, when I developed a gosh awful inflammatory pain cascade. It took at least two coffee enemas to move anything, but when it finally did, I got relief that was unbelievable -- like I died and went to heaven. Prayers are being sent your way. Hope you resolve this soon. I vote with Rich on your getting at least a workup on what actually is going on. Then someone will know you and your problem -- even if you decide to do the flushes or whatever and delay any drastic procedures. bg > > Hi all, > > I had some indigestion problems of fats, proteins and extreme > constipation for the last 7 or 8 months and i am struggling with > them.
