Guest guest
Hi , I met Les Simpson a few years ago when he visited London. He is a New Zealand doctor who helped investigated the NZ outbreak of M.E. (called Tapanui Flu) in the mid eighties. Dr Simpson was setting up a company (I think with Prof. Murdoch) in Dunedin, NZ, to look at blood cells shapes. I had this done in the 80's in NZ before moving to London. I have tried the EPO at that dosage and it made a great difference to my PMT but I didn't notice any other improvements. Here is a snip from another website where it talks about Trental. I have not tried it. Dr. Simpson ........And finally, the drug called Trental, pentoxifylline, was devised to lower the viscosity of blood and it also increases the flexibility of the red blood cell. So these are the options because I know that not everybody will respond to evening primrose oil. http://members.aol.com/rgm1/private/simpson.htm With kindest regards, Annette ___________________________________________________________ALL-NEW Messenger - sooooo many all-new ways to express yourself http://uk.messenger. Guest guest
Annette, Dr. Simpson came to Texas and all over the USA working with patients as part of his research. He did blood draws and gave each patient a detailed analysis report later. He was a lovely older gentleman (a pathologist by training, if my memory is correct). He recommended high doses of Evening Primrose Oil (a number of the 1300 mg ones) as he found this facilitated the blood flow to the capillaries, bringing nutrients to these tiniest blood suppliers and allowing wastes to exit. bg > Hi , > > I met Les Simpson a few years ago when he visited > London. Guest guest
I used trental for years (maybe 5?), before the hypercoagulation connection was found. I think it saved my life. I was so sick I was getting lost in my own home, having visual and oral hallucinations, proprioception was very disabled, blah blah blah. My ENT put me on trental because I told him our RBC's tend to be sticky . . . that's about all anybody knew at that point. I hadn't found a CFS doc yet. Within a week I could feel blood flowing in my arms and legs again. It was amazing. Far from a cure, though, but it got me out of a very dark hole. When I went on heparin I stopped the trental. (am completely cured now, BTW, with immunics . . . off all meds, energy at 100% . . . occasional flare-ups controlled within hours . . . but it's outside the scope of this group . . . please backchannel me if you're interested, or see the website below. I have no financial interest in them.) a not-for profit yoga of immunity - http://www.immunics.org/ join an immunicsBuddies group, cure your disease at immunics.org " Housework done incorrectly still blesses the family.
