Guest guest
Hi there...looks like you have lyme, maybe other tickborne infections too. I don't see the point of repeat testing (expensive!)...you can chart clinical improvement from that point. What part of the country do you live in? Bartonella and babesia are common coinfections and sometimes elusive in testing.
Guest guest
I noted this from a Lyme book in my LLMD's office- forgot the title. * indicates I had an equivocal result. ** is indicates I had + *** is indicates I had ++ I seem to have week positive (+) for the important bands. So thats why I was not sure about it. Do you know of any specific band taht I should look for in my results. I got sick when I was in India (Southern part of India) and they still think Lyme is not prevalent there. Docs there are not familiar with Lyme disease. 9 Kd- cross reactive for Borrelia 12 - specific for Bb 18- unknown ** 20- unknown 21- unknown 22- specific for Bb, probably really 23/25 band 23/25 - Outer Specific Protain(OSP) C specific for Bb 28- unknown * 30 - unknown probbaly an outer surface protein common in Europe and one Ca strain ** 31 - OSPA speciifc for Bb * 34- OSPB specific for Bb* 35-specific for Bb 37- specific for Bb 38- cross reactive for Bb 39- major protain of Bb flagellan specific for Bb ** 41 flagellin in protein of all spirochetes- this is usually first to appear after Bb infection and specific for all Bb 45- cross reactive for all Borelia ** 50 - cross reactive for all Borrelia 55- cross reactive for all Borelia 57- cross reactive for all Borelia 58- unknown may be a heat shock protein ** 60- cross reactive for all Borrelia 66- cross reactive for all Borrelia * commin in all Bacteria 83- specific antigen for the Lyme bacterium probably cystoplasmic membrane 93- unknown, probably the same protein as 83 just measured incorrectly. * Thanks, Gayathri > Hi there...looks like you have lyme, maybe other tickborne infections > too. Guest guest
Exactly, agreed 100% > You got multiple positives on every test plus tick bite with rash? No > offense, but sounds like you're in denial of having lyme if there ever was denial! > Just b/c abx doesn't affect it doesn't mean you don't have it. Guest guest
The tests of commercial labs are greatly flawed for more things than just lyme and Labcorp for instance has the highest rate of false negatives for lyme testing, yet even you reported having positives on commercial labs, did you not? Lyme is exactly that: a clinical diagnosis. But in your case I wonder what you're waiting for, a direct memo from God to show you your cause of CFS? Remember, " da Nile " is not just a river in Egypt. I was just speaking with my first guru doc who was my first doc back in 2000 who thought my CFS was adrenal related. He said he routinely tests multiple labs like twice a year and the results are " very disturbing " . I used to be a fan of docs using labs that took insurance, but now I'm not so convinced it is always the best route, and why I didn't mind paying for my IGeneX tests. In a message dated 6/5/2004 11:32:36 AM Eastern Daylight Time, writes: I basically said the tests(even pos on band 39 at Igenix WB) and the clinical diagnosis of chronic lyme are greatly flawed-- lacking reliability and duplication.
