Guest guest
I remember someone here saying that IGeneX website said how EBV could cause false pos's on WB. I just went to site http://www.igenex.com/lymeset2.htm and this page discusses WB's. It said that it is possible IgG could be cross reacting with antibodies for EBV. It does not say this is the case for IgM though. Also, I recently did more homework on what the different bands mean and interestingly band 39 is the most specific for borellia of all the bands and Dr. told me it was 98% specific. Looking at my IgM I had band 39 +. Band 41 was ++ and all it takes is those two bands to be CDC pos for lyme. This doctor's web page is very interesting and teaches more about WB's and lyme disease: http://www.drcharlescrist.com/
