This post is obviously about but the facts are completely wrong. was not " hired by the company " since there never was a CAB created (no thanks to Hemispherx who refused to abide by the federal rules for a CAB) and she did not " publish terrible lies " as she never published anything herself! Let's stick to facts on this list or personal experiences as talking about another who is not here to defend herself or correct you does no good. I would also appreciate knowing who was hired by the company and is now writing " glowing reports " . Do you have any comments about the treadmill results from the double blind study? The effectiveness often wears off once Ampligen is stopped? Where did this information come from? Please post a link to verify all your statements. Thanks. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. And, in fact, I do have copies of what was put out on the internet by her - I have a file full from that period of time as I was involved. She absolutely did lie - if it wasn't her who put it out on the internet then who did? You? It was written under her name. I'm not about to banter back and forth with you. I know what happened and so do you. Period! I did not bring up the " forerunner on this list " , someone else did and I was trying to set the record straight. A lie is a lie, plain and simple. You're a fine one to be talking about " another who is not here to defend " - what I've said is minor in comparison to your editorials and attacks on others! That's still not correct. If you refer to what she posted on the internet, " published " is not usually applicable. You're also incorrect when you attribute articles written by others as authored by me. While I still believe in freedom of speech for all, not just those that agree with me, you've got your facts mixed up. Originally, it was the CFIDS Association of America that asked to gather facts and do interviews for ampligen. She was not paid by them nor was she paid by Hemispherx BioPharma or HEM at any time. The CFIDS Association backed down after they received a letter from Hemispherx which they perceived as threatening. While I fully understand those who have been helped to any extent by a drug, I also believe that others have not been helped and don't believe all those who disagree with others should be silenced. For those who may not know, Gail is the chair of the NCF. That, too, is erroneous, a. We have many " chairs " of various committees and I am not a chair of any committee currently. I am the current volunteer president of the National CFIDS Foundation, Inc. and, like all others on the board, have one vote at meetings. The articles in The National Forum, the newsletter of The National CFIDS Foundation, have had many authors writing about Ampligen. In fact, there will be an article in the summer edition about it. It reports on a paper that is distributed to pharmaceutical companies. Another wrote about a patent on Ampligen owned by the company, Hemsipherx BioPharma, in which they admitted that the drug raised the TNF (tumor necrosis factor). With current research already in progress, that would be one of the last things one should want from a drug for ME/CFIDS. We do not censor those who submit articles for The National Forum although we do, often, ask for proof of what they are saying. We prefer the truth at all costs since we feel it will be the only way to get to a real treatment is to find the actual cause. Unless and until actual causes are found for illnesses, there will be problems with treatments. However, those who have diseases where the cause is known have the best chance of recovery. We have not promoted nor refused to promote any single treatment proposed thus far. We only report the factual stories and refuse to back down from being truthful.
