Guest guest
et al, I have had a persistant scalp fungal infection. The same also on my shins. May this be contributing to my symptoms some how? Also any advice how to ride myself of this problem or does this suggest something about my health? Guest guest
1) For scalp, try an antifungal shampoo like selsun blue? 2) For leg, try lamisil cream 3) Realize it's internal as well if it's in those 2 places on yhour body. Reduce carbs in yoru diet and add in antifungals, such as caprylic acid (can get at the health food store) or nystatin (Rx) Also, ozonated olive oil will probably work on any skin infection, can buy it at www.aloessence.com (I think I have the URL right) > et al, > > I have had a persistant scalp fungal infection. Guest guest
You might find this hard to believe, but so far the few who tried my home remedy were surprised at how effective it is. Get coconut oil and rub into affect skin after shower. Somehow it seems to control the fungal problem and continued use may keep it from ever coming back. Putting coconut oil into scalp may be difficult though, but I'd certainly put it on all other parts of my body. Guest guest
Blake, from my own experience and reading, my opinion is that this suggests something about your health. I'd start with one of Dr. Wm Crook's books. He discusses in detail a wide range of problems resulting with changes in the internal milieu. I believe all persons with chronic illness have deranged gut issues with overgrowths of bad bacteria. The title of one of his books is a bit misleading (Yeast Connection & The Woman), as it is for men and children as well. After the first 2 yrs of chronic illness, I was about to " bite the dust. " My physicians had given me two yrs of meds that continued to wipe out good flora. When I stopped going to them (except for tests)during that time, and followed the diet and supplements, etc. of Dr. Crook, I immediately began seeing light at the end of the tunnel (instead of the end, darkness). Also, with skin involvement, EFA's (especially liquid flaxseed oil combined with plain yogurt and powdered probiotics) are very helpful for yeast and general health of the body. Dr. Johanna Budwig's work in Germany even proved the combo of flaxseed oil and a protein carrier (quark, cottage cheese or yogurt) even helped turn around terminal cancer patients. The carrier gets the EFA's into the cells. Stevia, a bit of fruit, vanilla extract, etc. can be added to make it a treat. Some ground flaxseed adds to its enjoyment. It's my official dessert (and health potion) daily. I've even started stirring in my undenatured whey protein. Good luck with your skin problems. The above may not be the answer to your problems, but should help improve your overall health. Even dandruff clears up when yeast overgrowth is adequately addressed. I understand we never completely wipe out candida, but we do need to hold it down to a healthier state, and that I understand is by having much more good flora than bad. bg > et al, > > I have had a persistant scalp fungal infection.
