Guest guest
For over a year before finally starting b12, I often found myself trying to plan when the right time to suicice would be because I was determined not to exist as a demented person in an institution, and that seemed where I was headed. My brain problems had continuously advanced over the many years I was ill. It took me years of trying to find a doc who would prescribe the recommended doses. When he gave me my first shot, within an hr. I could feel an effect, just perhaps clearer. That was enough for me to continue. I have become pertty accurate at monitoring myself for changes when I use something; I have had so many years of practice, (alas!) If I can feel it at all, I continue w. my trial. My brain still doesn't work quite right, but I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have the massive improvement I have experienced. Besides the various aspects of thinking; memory, concentration, etc., my mood and emotions too are much more stable and comfortable. This alone has resulted in a much higher quality of life in every way, even tho I have plenty of other symptoms to deal with. I never feel the need to calculate my end, and I feel hopeful about further improvements. There were other unexpected benefits as well. I am better able to tolerate things that give me energy: I don't so easily get a buzzed or wired feeling. The burning in my feet went away, and my skin sensations are less sensitive. Sometimes wearing clothes too long used to really make me irritated and nervous. It has been over two years now. I have just today increased my dosage for a second time. I started with 1 cc almost daily, plateaued, moved up to 2 cc's several x/wk and now I will be doing 3cc's. Don't know how often yet. Adrienne Those taking B12 Injections - What benefits? I have considered ordering Hydroxycobalamin B-12, 10mg injections but I'm not sure what I might gain from this? For those that are taking these what are the benefits and how long does it take to notice something? How often - daily, bi-weekly....??? Thanks!! Guest guest
I noticed benefits within 30 minutes of my first dose. It is one of the few things I've found that seems to relieve the burning muscle and skin pain that I have. I also have a slight improvement in cognitive function and endurance from it. When I first started using it, a 10mg. IM dose lasted about 20 hours. As time went by, and I did it daily, the amount of time that it lasted lengthened. After I'd been doing it for several months I was able to get to a point where I could skip every other day. And after a couple years I now only have to do an IM injection once a week, or use it sublingually twice a week, to get the same benefits. But if I go longer, even a day longer, not only do the symptoms return like clockwork, but the gain in time diminishes, and the next dose has to be given sooner to compensate. In the beginning, I would have never been able to manage doing it any less than every day. For me the pain issue has made it indispensable. lindaj@... Guest guest
I have B-complex that contains 6 micrograms of cyanocobalamin. Would or anyone think that this amount would be harmful for mercury poisoned person? Also which B-complex we should use? Many of them contain cyano form. Thanks.
