Guest guest
Hi , How exactly are the detoxi-pads helping you? I think I might try them, but then, I've done many other detox things that have been useless (and a few that have been useful). What specific toxins are they good for? Guest guest
, I suppose you have tried castor oil. Do these foot pads are better then castor oil application, you think? Also,I thought of placing castor oil packs on my foot if feet are good place to detox. Does that sound funny? What do you think? Thanks Nil ----- Original Message ----- From: <Peggomatic@...> < >
Guest guest
Thanks , I am using Castor oil packs and I am very happy with them. They do help. Only problem is being patient and creating the time for that procedure. I don't know why they did not help to you. It could be that either you were not so toxic to feel the differance or there was some application problem. It is important that you use really hot water pad and you cover yourself well and stay with it for some time.I wait for at least 45 minutes, 1 hour is better.I use them on my liver mainly. After about 20 minutes I start feeling hot all over and my feet also start getting hot which means that it has started working. I tried it on my feet today. Did not like it so much. I think castor oil packs improves lymphatic circulation. May be they can do that on liver area only. Anyway one trial is not enough actually but I just wanted to share my first impression.Hopefully I will try again. Best regards. Guest guest
, Was that a one time symptom, the knee joint pain? If not, have you noted whether its comings and goings correlate to weather changes? So as not to confound that factor w. treatments you are trying. Actually, my illness generally varies with the weather. (Which, in Spring especially, is a real b---ch.) Adrienne Detoxi-pads: I only tried them for 5 nights, but I'll tell you what won me over. I told this story on another list and think I didn't mention it here. Over 2 weeks ago I ate a ton of shrimp. I woke up feeling aweful, very lethargic and did not want to work out, and my knee hurt for no apparent reason except inflammation (caused by toxins?). It was bad enough to where I needed to refill CSM for first time since stopping it and took a hit of CSM followed by olive oil 30 min later and I could feel a good herx in a way associated with it. But it still remained. After the 3rd day of feeling like this the Detoxi-pads arrived. I slept with them on that night and next morning I awoke and felt good for the first time since the shrimp eating and knee was 80% pain free. Next night the knee pain was totally gone and I felt really really great and had great workouts, so I was won over and am waiting for my next shipment of pads to come in. I reckon they pull out any toxins. Friend told me they were discusing Detoxi-pads at the last Klinghardt conference and he tested them and found heavy metals in them (after being used of course). There are other pads out there I will be trying too, one from Korea, that look like the same thing as Detoxi-pad but lower price. I'd try them both so you will know for yourself. Guest guest
Thanks , that was interesting. I would think the pads would not be best right over the liver, but along the liver meridian used in TCM. The liver meridian, for example, runs down the inner thighs -- right about in the center -- and then down the shin on the inside right under the bone, and then down the TOP of the foot between the big toe and toe next to it. So perhaps putting one on the top of the foot would be helpful for liver. The kidney line starts at the bottom of the foot, and the kidneys are considered the central organ in TCM (and the central organ in CFIDS by many acupuncturists and TCM doctors, though there is some dispute about this -- some see it as more of a liver/spleen condition).
