Guest guest
For those who have been wondering about my progress on the /Kane/Speight protocol, well I'm finally checking in with a tentative report. I say tentative because I made a 5-day cross- country road trip in order to undergo the treatment -- and who knows how much that may have impacted my health -- plus it's always easier to calibrate improvements against your normal life, and being in a hotel far from home is in no way normal for me. For now, I can tentatively say that for the most part I've been very pleased and have noted improvements, most noticeably in headache reduction (big improvement) and smaller gains in certain cognitive areas (some improvement in clarity of thought and return of my sense of direction, which I lost 2 years ago following meningitis). My energy has also seemed better in subtle ways with each IV, for instance, I've found myself spontaneously dancing 3 times this past week. For the record, so far I've had 14 lipid IV's and 12.5 glutathione IV's. I opted out of one of the glutatione IVs and we discontinued another part way through because of uncomfortable burning in the vein. I never had any discomfort with the lipids and only had the burning more recently w/ the glutathione. It's important to know, though, that I've been doing the IVs at the accelerated rate of 2 per day, 4 days a week, for a total of 8 per week. I believe that others on this list are doing the more typical rate of 2 per week, so I wouldn't consider my vein issues to be a discouragement to others who are considering the protocol. The word at the clinic is that vein problems like mine are not typical. The improvements for me have not been dramatic. I typically notice that I'm feeling a bit better beginning an hour or two after the infusions. It's hard to tell how long the improvement lasts, especially since I'm back within half a day for another set of infusions, but they seem to be cumulative. For example, I had 3 days (Fri-Sat-Sun) without IV's following the 11th set, and looking back realized that my Friday and Saturday had been better than normal. This only occurred to me on Sunday when I realized that I was a zombie on the couch again, having to talk myself into doing even the simplest of things. I also wanted to mention that I was told that early improvements are thought to be due more to the glutathione than the lipids, and that it usually takes 20-40 lipid IVs before you can really know the value of that protocol. Besides the issue with the veins, I also got strange, swirly-like headaches from the glutathione, located at the back of my head. Some nausea accompanied this. Apparently, nausea and/or head sensations are pretty common with the glutathione, and I believe they're mentioned in the doctor's version of the Detoxx book. I had these headaches pretty strongly DURING and for an hour or two immediately following the first 2 glutathione IVs. They recurred once more following the first 3-day break, but since then I've not had them, nor did they occur after the second 3-day break. My working hypothesis is that, for me, when my glutathione levels are low, I get the headaches, when their not, I don't. Anyway, I've concluded my IVs for now and will be embarking on the return leg of my road trip tomorrow morning. I just wanted to get this information out while it was still clear in my head, and also because I know that many were waiting to hear my report. My plan once home is to continue with the protocol orally AND, if I can talk a local doctor (or nurse) into it, continue with the protocol via IV at the rate of 2 times per week. As before, I don't anticipate being online during the 5-6 days on the road, so please understand if I don't respond immediately to any questions. Thanks everyone. Take care.
