Guest guest
sorry. there is a typo here. The SGPT normal range is 7-56 and not 7 - 560. mine is 204. Guest guest
Have you discussed using IMIG (intra-muscular) immune globulin. It's like IVIG minor IMHO. I did the IMIG per Dr. Salvato, after having CFS for about a year or so, and it may be the reason I am still able to work. Mike C. Guest guest
Thanks for the info Mike. When you did the IMIG, were you having flu symptoms or were you having some kind of an infection? Right now my flu symptoms have subsided. So I wonder if Gammaglobulin treatment might be essential. If one does not have any infection, I wonder what if Gammaglobulin can make the immune system go hyper. What was Dr.Salvato's protocol for IMIG? Any opinions/feedback appreciated. Thanks, Gayathri. > Have you discussed using IMIG (intra-muscular) immune globulin. > It's like IVIG minor IMHO. Guest guest
Hi G. By the time I saw Dr. Salvato, I was back to work but unable to exercise and having frequent relapses and anxiety. The tests that she ran on me showed classic CFS abnormalities, problems with B cells and other immune system irregularities which she thought showed a viral infection. She also put me on the antiviral for shingles (can't remember the name), but I think the IMIG may have been what helped. In hindsight, a year on a Carribean beach (total rest) may have been the best treatment, but I don't know of many people who can do that. However, I did talk to a guy who was a partner in his own company, got disability, and did rest for 3 years, and the last time I talked to him he said he was running 3-4 miles several times per week.
