Guest guest
Adrienne, Bathing in Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) will move more magnesium into your body. Perhaps DMSO will, too, but I would try the Epsom salts. Rich > > I used to use DMSO pre CFS for some injuries; it seemed to help > alleviate > > some nagging muscle pain. Guest guest
Thanks, Rich, But I am not fortunate enough to have a bathtub, only a shower. In that case, any idea about using the DMSO to transport the MG? Guest guest
Adrienne, Sorry to be so slow in responding. The last few days have been pretty busy. I dug around some, but have not been able to find any evidence that DMSO binds magnesium and carries it through the skin. Sorry that you don't have a tub. I'm not sure what to suggest in place of the Epsom salts bath. You probably know that one of the most absorbable oral forms of magnesium is magnesium glycinate, which Dr. Cheney among others has favored, and that Rob Napier recently reported here that the 2-aminoethylphosphoric acid (2-AEP) oral form of magnesium developed by the late Dr. Hans Nieper and coworkers (also called ethanolamine phosphate) of magnesium works well for him. You probably also know that many PWCs regularly inject magnesium sulfate with taurine intramuscularly, the latter reducing the pain considerably. Others receive magnesium in intravenous infusions, such as the Myers cocktail developed by the late Dr. Myers and popularized by Dr. Alan Gaby. Those are the other ways I know of to get magnesium into the body. Rich > > > I used to use DMSO pre CFS for some injuries; it seemed to > help > > alleviate > > > some nagging muscle pain.
