Guest guest
Hi Trish Thanks for keeping us updated. I have a Hickman catheter, so I don't have to deal with going through my smaller veins. But I too had some misery with regards to the Glutatione infusion, but some of that was my fault. I pushed it too quickly. It stayed irratated for a day or so. What I did to resolve this, (though I don't know if it will help on regular veins), but it certainly made a difference going through my Hickman was ... #1: Had them mix more saline with the Glutathione. We now use 50 ml/cc syringe and fill up the balance of the syringe with saline. #2: Pushed it in over a 4-5 minute period. Both of these helped to reduce the irratation. Still a little bit, but it only lasts for an hour or so afterwards, and is not as severe. I think the Glutatione IV push is really important for rebuilding the liver, so I hope these ideas can be benefical for you in the future. Side note: I too worry about damaging my vein and my Hickman catheter. Lord knows I don't want to have to have it removed or replace it. My regular veins are pretty crapped out at this point, so I try to avoid using them for any IV's. Keep us posted on your progress. Thanks, is
Guest guest
Hi Trish and is, I too have a hickman double lumen catheter and infuse with IV glutathione -200 mgday. I have not had any irritation, but I have had great results. I started them in October and after going through some detox reactions, I am feeling so much less fatigue and brain fog, and all my cells seem to be functioning better. I feel better than I have for years. Next my Dr. and I are considering live cell therapy with growth hormone to repair my gut function(which is why I am on total nutitional IV feeding). I just had my 6th line replacement in as many years and must get back to eating. (If you are wondering what happened to my gut, I had a severe case of giardia and along with the treatment the Dr.'s gave me, it damaged my small bowel. Over time, I became allergic to all foods and ended with a complete inability to maintain my nutrition and weight. During the crash that eventually came, my immune system gave out and that is when CFS appeared. So am keeping my fingers crossed that live cell therapy will help!! ps For sleep I take melatonin 1 hour before bed and Klonopin, Sonata, and 5HTP. This is the combination that gives me the most sleep. The best to you all Molly > Hi Trish > > Thanks for keeping us updated. > > I have a Hickman catheter, so I don't have to deal with going through > my smaller veins. > > But I too had some misery with regards to the Glutatione infusion, > but some of that was my fault. Guest guest
Molly, what kind of live cell therapy will you be doing? Are you on any antivirals or antibiotics?
