Guest guest
Somish, I just want to add that the substances that showed up high on your amino acids test that result from a diet high in poultry or meat are not harmful. They are just breakdown products of some of the substances in the poultry or meat. Adding fish is a good idea, especially for the omega-3 fatty acids in them, provided it is not large predatory fish (such as tuna, shark, swordfish or tile fish), which can be high in mercury. Guest guest
Somish, After some more study, I find that what I said in this message is not completely correct. High beta alanine actually can have some deleterious effects: it can act as a neurotoxin, suppressing development of the brain and spinal cord, and has been associated with seizures and somnolence. In addition, it interferes with the reabsorption of taurine by the kidneys, and can lead to a deficiency in taurine.
