Guest guest
in this group is one of them. I do not know how long she was on it but I think it was over a month, perhaps 6 weeks? The other person had been on it for several weeks too. A lot of us are very screwed up and so if you are not functional enough to even do any exercise at all then perhaps those candidates would be more likely to suffer worst side effects--if you're fragile in general and not tollerant or are sensetive to a lot of things then maybe extended use of high dose csm will be more likely to cause problems in you. I am wondering if eating higher cholesterol foods while on csm will help tollerate it. Like should one literally eat the fat on the steak instead of cutting it off as I always have? Anyway, the idea is if csm is not tollerated then try something else like beta-sitosterol. I could not find it at NEEDS but it came up easily at where I bought my boswellic acid and lycopene from Beta Sitosterol. Also, I would hope 5 weeks would be good experiment to see if it works 2-6 weeks is what I read is typical to see improvements although some have noticed it work immediately and also have that healing " herx " as well. But are you taking it 4X day in b/t meals and at high enough dose? I'll likely be trying it in the next month myself and am a little excited to see what happens. In a message dated 10/31/03 3:24:24 AM Eastern Standard Time, writes: 2 people's hair falling out after CSM!? How long were they taking it for? I've never heard of this side effect before. I too got the impression that if an improvement is going to happen it will start soon after treatment is initiated, possibly preceeded by an intensification reaction. I've been taking CSM for 2 or 3 weeks and don't notice any improvement. There was no intensification of symptoms either. I think I will abandon it when I finish my supply, that will provide a 5 week treatment it total. Where can one get beta sitosterol and what is the regime for taking it?
