Even if we did all have it, there isn't an effective cure, taking long term antibx for the rest of your life is too risky for me and didn't cure all those diag with the mycos and Clamydia's and other things that were discovered also many years ago. The immune system usually isn't strong enough to ever go off the antbx and often when one does finally go off the antbx, the infections return stronger than before. Many people here went that route years ago and did not fare well. The fact we might be riddled with opportunistic infections is not news. Lyme might/not be one of those, but it sure resembles the early days of CFS when EBV was the answer to all and 'everybody had it'. Yes, something like 95% of the population does carry it and will test pos for it, its possible 95% of the whole population carries the lyme as well as all the other infections we have ever been exposed to. Personally I'm just targeting fixing my digestion, metabolism, correcting ph and re-establishing normal gut bacteria and all that should address my immune system problems. So far I'm having good results and its much less risky that taking long term antbx. But thats just me, to each his own. Marcia
