Guest guest
Hi Yes, I tested +2 on the staph and I have an obvious infection in my sinus, and was resistant to 3 or 4 antibiotics (all the ones I have ever taken it looked like). I did not get Staph Phage Lysate also There seems to be somewhat of a protocol because several people have mentioned taking Rifampin, bactroban and bactrim, and that is why my doctor prescribed too (although I had to sub for the bactrim because I am allergic). I just am concerned because a) I only got 5 days and 10 days of the antibiotics and I am concerned that stopping at that will cause resistance, and many things I read talked about taking CSM (cholestyramine)and opinions seemed to differ on the importance of this. Recent articles also seemed to talk about MSH and I wasn't tested for that. Thanks Doris ----- Original Message ----- From: marypmichel Hi, Doris, I have read everything I could find on Dr. Shoemaker's work. (I may have missed something). I don't recall any particular protocol being anywhere. I think this is because he treats very individually. Your particular protocol depended on the antibiotics that the CoNS were resistant to and the type of infection you have and probably your genetic profile and other test results. Did you test positive for staph in the nasal passage? Did he give you the Staph Phage Lysate also? Have you seen him in person? If so, you can call him and voice your concerns. This would be the best way to get individualized treatment. You might also post your question on the StealthVirus support group. He often responds to questions there. And many members have seen him and may be on a protocol.
