Each morning upon waking I take a tablespoon of Goatein mixed with 1 tbs of Perfect Food. A serving on the label suggests a heaping tablespoon and there would be 30 servings that way. So I think I am getting almost two months out of one container. Check NEEDS for prices. I aslo get two months out of a container of Perfect Food. I mix it with filtered water and use a hand mixer where it mixes very easily and tastes clean and great. It doesn't have to be taken on an empty stomach, but I figure first thing in morning is best idea, along with Perfect Food. If money were no object and I ever got back into working out heavy as I did before my CFS days I'd take Goatein exclusively and never touch whey protein powders again. As for your cystein concerns, I cannot directly answer that. I do know that ImmunePro made no difference in me (good or bad) but when I took Immunocal I felt worse and when I brought this up to the Klinghardt nurse during my phone consult with her she said that I might try Goatein for that very reason (feeling bad that is--she made no mention of cystein as the reason for me feeling bad). What I like about Jordan's producs are they are all engineered as a basis around the gut, as this is a man who nearly died from colitis and crohns. The whey powders are not engineered with the gut in mind. Try a container and let us know what you think. I doubt you will be sorry.
Guest guest
Just out of curiosity, what does it taste like? All of the goats milk products that I've tasted, which includes dozens of things, all had a distinct barn-yard flavor to them, that tasted like it had been dropped in a cow pie out in the coral. I seem to be the only person in my family who can taste this, but the flavor is so strong that it makes me gag and wretch violently. Turkey has the same background flavor to me. Second, how do you take it? Mixed with water or juice or something else? How easily does it mix? How much do you use, or how far does a container go? Does it have to be taken on an empty stomach like ImmunePro? I don't mean to overwhelm you with questions, but I've been curious about it for some time, but didn't know anyone who had tried it personally that I could ask. The information that NEEDS and the Garden's of Life catalog doesn't provide much information. One of the things I'm especially interested in finding out is if it would cause excess cystein in a person who isn't able to handle the cystein of undenatured whey's? lindaj@... Guest guest
, You are right about the better digesteability of goat's milk vs cow's. But I went through several jars of Goatein with no boost in stamina that the Immunocal and Imuplus give me. The goatein actually would increase my heart rate ( a problem I have with particular foods I'm sensitive too). In contrast, the Immunepro actually helps my food sensitivities. It is rich in lactoferin and immuneglobulins that help repair the GI tract. Goatein is a great product but I do not think it has the glutathione boosting potential of the others. It's processing temp is in the low 90's I believe. I do not know the processing temps for the others. Personally I get a detox from the Immunepro but an immediate boost in stamina from the Immunocal and to some degree the Imuplus; the Cal has helped me the most. But we are all unalike and metabolize foods and supplements completely differently. You just have to find what works best for you by trial and error. K > > > > Hello folks. You were smart to try them all too. That's my point though, at least try Goatein and see what you think b/c too many are allergic to whey. More people should be like you and experiment by trying them all. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Best of the bunch, but sometimes it's good to rotate between 2 different brands because of different levels of ingredients your body may need more at a given point in time I find.
