Guest guest
I have history of using long term usage of Marplan,MAO inibator..I am suspicious that it might have contributed to my illness.. I'm wondering now about how widely used Valium was (isn't that a shorter acting benzo?) back in the 60's? and 70's? I think it was. I was rx'd Valium a | few yrs before I came down with full blown CFS. I was under unbelievable stress from a bad marraige and job at the same time and had to go to the ER for hyperventilating and my hands were numb. | They rx/d 6 MONTHS worth of valium (take 3 times a day) right then and there. Well, of course it totally doped me so bad I couldn't even move so I did not take it that long or that often, but now I | have to wonder if using the benzo's PRIOR to CFS could have been a contributing factor by suppressing the immune system? Does anyone else have a history of benzo's prior to CFS? You notice Valium | isn't used nearly as much anymore. | | Marcia | | | | | This list is intended for patients to share personal experiences with each other, not to give medical advice.
