Guest guest
Anyone here who has followed Bob's posts about Shoemaker's theories about CNS knows that he recommends a deep nasal culture, aka an aerobic culture as he thinks if CNS is not killed then things like Lyme will likely come right back after treatment. If you want to know more then do a search in this group over last couple weeks to educate yourself and don't ask me to repeat it as I overpost as it is. Shoemaker is using Esoterix Labs which is an infectious disease lab and the cost is $50 patient cost. I went to ENT Fri and talked him into sending a deep nasal culture into Labcorp and specifying CNS. He seemed reasonably open minded and made a copy of the Shoemaker post I let him read and said if Labcorp doesn't do it then we'll send it to Esoterix. I'll let the group know the results of this experiment at latest the 20th, but more likely by 17th according to him.
Guest guest
, HOpe you have luck with labcorp. Pathology is in a pathetic state in this modern age, and Shoemaker is recommending Esoterix, since they seem to be the only lab who knows how to do this right, in the states anyway. I've tested positive for Coagulase negative staph in Australia, and my doctor has ordered the nasal swab for me here in San Diego. Actually I called Esoterix and arranged for them to set up an account with my doc, who has agreed to order the tests. He's already got 7 patients waiting for the swabs along with me. When I spoke with Esoterix, they told me that they're getting orders from all over, based on Shoemaker's research and recommendation of their lab. If your test comes back negative from labcorp, don't be surprised. They've got to culture properly, and give it enough time. My CNS is extremely slow growing, but toxic all the same. penny > Anyone here who has followed Bob's posts about Shoemaker's theories about CNS > knows that he recommends a deep nasal culture, aka an aerobic culture as he > thinks if CNS is not killed then things like Lyme will likely come right back > after treatment.
