Guest guest Posted August 4, 2001 Report Share Posted August 4, 2001 Hi Bill, Willis Langford has a long article about autism which he approaches from many angles(digestive, immunological, etc. ) There is a lot on DMG and TMG in his article which is at- www.talkinternational.com/issues health autism guide aug 03 01.htm It does a lot more than just carry blood oxygen to the brain (and other cells). But for people who have thrombophylia or thick blood, it is used to primarily for that particular benefit. It does nothing to alter the thrombophylia itself, but it keeps the cells supplied with the O2 that the blood isn't supplying due to the thrombophylia. So, the thrombophylia needs to be treated but until it is, the DMG or TMG will help restore function. DMG is dimethyglycine and TMG is trimethylglycine. Which means that after the tri donates one of it's atoms, it then becomes DMG. And that extra atom is used in another important physiological process. It's complex and I don't recall the exact biochemistry-which is why you need to go to a good source. If you try a web search on either, I'm sure you will find many articles (which are shorter than Willis'). Ari has a good article on it, too. All of these are in relation to autism-I tried to find something about thrombophylia/DMG/TMG and came up blank. If you manage to find anything, please pass it on.
