Guest guest
Hi-- I was reading posts that came up on a search for nystatin and you wrote: Regarding encopresis..... I looked at the explanation and I'm not sure it describes what is going on. Before we went GFCF, Ethan had loose watery stools regularly (once a day). After going GFCF, he started going every 2-3 days, and the stools were varied... some pasty, some loose and watery, usually in the same BM. Thanks for all the feedback. -eric I am wondering if your son is doing better now-- and am wondering if you think that he could have Irritable Bowel Syndrome, rather than encopresis/chronic constipation... Guest guest
Hi , Do you know of any reason why they don't do many thorocoplasties? Could it be that they can get so much more correction now that many patients aren't left with a large rib hump. Thorocoplasty wasn't mention in 1977 when I had my harrington rod surgery, I was very pleased with the rib hump after surgery so happy to wear form fitting clothes. Do you work at the hospital with scoliosis patients? For some reason thoracoplasties have sort of gone out of favor. It seemed that the surgeons at UCSF were doing them on just about all scoliosis patients 15 years ago, but now they're pretty rare. I didn't realize that ribs don't grow back in adults. I'd never heard that before. I had one rib removed for access during my surgery, and it didn't grow back, but I always thought that had to do with the way the procedure was done.Regards,nh>> > Hi , > I noticed you commented on how great s film looked especially in terms of rotation. Is it possible to de-rotate the spine? I asked Dr. Bridwell when I went back to St. Louis if I had thorocoplasty would the ribs grow back and he said not in adults, and one in four complained of ongoing pain. > > Deronda>
