Guest guest
Logan's face has started to swell. We added some new things to his daily supplements. Maybe someone can help me determine which of these is causing the problem? Phosphatidyl Choline 170mg Magnesium 500mg Reishi liquid herb Milk Thistle/Dandelion liquid herb Acetaldehde (for phenol allergies) I am stopping the last one first to see if I see improvements. Thanks for any help, Kaye P.S.- Sorry for the cross posting.
Guest guest
My advise would be to stop everything. Drink lots of bottled water and have him exercise to rid the toxic effects. Then if you feel comfortable, slowly introduce one item at a time..If you do it by eliminating 1 thing at a time it might be the 4th thing he is reacting to. You want to watch for anaphylactic shock which may include difficulty swallowing. With facial swelling you always want to be careful of possible airway obstruction. Doctor might give benadryl if this remains swollen, or something stronger..Joni www.joni-jones.com. >From: " Kaye " <Cozart3@...> >Reply- > >Subject: [ ] Swollen Face >Date: Sat, 25 Aug 2001 04:56:13 -0000 > _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp

Guest guest
Kaye, I agree with , but I would first give him Benadryl (there is one without any dyes). Sounds like a big allergic reaction (this happened to my husband with shellfish/iodine). Only introduce one thing at a time for at least a week or two before adding another. Let us know how Logan's doing. Janet [ ] Re: Swollen Face Kaye, I would stop all supplements and call the doctor pronto. > Logan's face has started to swell. Guest guest
I too had a problem for a couple of days straight with swollen face/eyelids and TERRIBLE sinus pressure headache -- made me SICK!!! I missed a day of work it was so bad! That is major for me -- but I thought it was a sinus infection . . . maybe candida related. I really think it was candida related -- just did lots of salt water in my nose and later some garlic. Should have done the garlic oil in my nose and ears sooner! I might have made it back to work sooner, but I gave into the terrible nausea. I had it bad. I see candida like a spiritual attack. When we are onto something in regard to growing in Christ, Satan will often times come on STRONG as a last ditch effort to hang on to you and keep you down. This is when we have to DIG IN AND STAND ON WHAT WE KNOW to be the TRUTH, not on what we FEEL!! When that FEELING of giving into this candida crapola because it is too tough comes on hard, JUST DIG IN AND GET ANGRY AND HANG ON TO THE TRUTH THAT YOU KNOW -- this is HARD, EXPECT IT, but WE WILL WIN!!! NEVER, EVER, EVER give up! The rewards are WORTH IT!! Keep your eyes on the MARK!! WELLNESS!!! YEAHHHH -- HERE WE ALL COME -- TOGETHER? Aaaahhh, come on -- come with me!!! Guest guest
alice my dad always said " listen to your body " growing up i really didn't understand this but as an adult i am now saying it to my kids because it is so true if your body wants to sleep especially after surgery then listen give yourself time to heal and recover just remember to drink lots of fluids that's important susan
Guest guest
hi - that sounds awful - there is some swelling post op - but around the implant site (which happened in my case)........I did have a sore throat - from where they put a tube in, as for your sleeping - you are still recovering from the anestatsic, i was sleeping loads for first few wks - due to medications (which can be a side efect) and also it the anestic trying to wear off - give it another wk.........it takes time; everyone is different - i could not sleep v well in hosp (was in for 4 days) cos was v uncomfortable - with banadages and IV.....you need to rest - some take longer than others. I know one of my firends who had it done 2nd time - she sailed thru the op - no pain, dizziness, and was up and about 2 hours post surgery - but it all caught up with her a few wks later...... Take it easy Alsion wildbanditkj <wildbanditkj@...> wrote: my chin, my cheek, and my throat are swollen but not red. the doctor said if it turns red, its infected...i have antibotics that ive been taking right on time. I'm still baffled. I look blown up. How long before I start feeling more normal? this is day 4. I'm also sleeping ALOT. TOO MUCH - if u ask me. The painkillers make me sleepy and I don't like it one bit. I'm trying to find a way to make myself more comfortable but am not successful. I'd like to know how many more days on average do I need to suffer of this?
Guest guest
I had forgotten about the sore throat from the tube and this is indeed true. Hal mentioned eating popsicles while that healed. I always recommend soft foods because my soreness was in the jaw area. Alison is also right about anesthesia as some people take longer to get over the effects of it. I still think we should just sleep when our systems seem to be asking us to do that, especially after a surgery.
