Hi Brad, I read on Carol Sieverlings website something that Cheney implied that Growth Hormone " GH " helps all the other hormones work better. I take the GH and it says not to take cortical steriods, that includes the sublingual ACE(Adreanl Cortical Extract)per my doctor who not Dr. Cheney. I assume Testosterone also. Guest guest
Hi Al, From what I can deduce, I'm still in stage 1 per Cheney's levels. (Recurrent sinus ear infections and uncomfortable most of the time along with many of the other common symptoms, sleep disorder, etc.) GH is for stage 3 as I understand. I guess I'm now left with the current recommendation of my MD to take testosterone via shots and gel. Any other thoughts? Thanks again, Brad E. > > I've seen Cheney's tape and read many posts from this group. > However, > > I can't seen to ferret out what Cheney thinks about and how he > > addresses testosterone and/or cortisol deficiency if blood/ASI > tests > > show deficiencies. > > > > What is the experience of those that have been treated by Cheney? > > Does he look at these two hormones and does he try to address > > correcting them directly? > > > > Brad E. > > Hi Brad, > I read on Carol Sieverlings website something that Cheney implied > that Growth Hormone " GH " helps all the other hormones work better. Dr. Daryl See(former CFS reseracher) used to use Testosterone also, so it's worth a try. I like Biomax ACE also. Al
Guest guest
Al, The Biomax ACE sounds interesting. What dosing have you used that seems to work? What is usually recommended? Thanks again, Brad E. > > Hi Al, > > > > From what I can deduce, I'm still in stage 1 per Cheney's levels. > > (Recurrent sinus ear infections and uncomfortable most of the time > > along with many of the other common symptoms, sleep disorder, etc.) > > GH is for stage 3 as I understand. I would get the saliva test for cortisol to see where you are at first. Al M.

Al, Brad & others: I've been really looking into this issue in the medical journals and the position I keep coming to is that GH therapy can actually " unmask " deficiencies of other hormones by increasing the synthesis of [multiple types of] hormone receptors. E.g. GH increases the number of thyroid hormone receptors; if there is insufficient thyroid hormone to bind to the increased number of binding sites, a patient will likely shift into a [clinically] hypothyroid state. GH also increases synthesis of sex hormone receptors, like testosterone. my own experience has been such that my intuition tells me the exact same situation occurs with respect to testosterone: GH can unmask a testosterone deficiency by the same process. I've noticed that I fare best when I take a testosterone prohormone like androstenediol along with my GH. My feeling is that if you're at all low in the testosterone dept. then GH may shift the body too far metabolically without the proper compensatory mechanisms in place (i.e. enough ANABOLIC=tissue sparing potential via androgens, etc.). My experience is also that i must absolutely continue my hydrocortisone (HC) dosing along with my GH injections, otherwise I enter into what I'd call a clinically significant adrenal insufficiency; in fact, it may be the case that I do best if I actually increase my HC dose around the GH injection time. Eager to know your thoughts, experiences on this stuff! Best, -- Hud (8 >{D) hudr@...

Hi Hud, When I asked the person at Pharmacia(maker of GH) about taking GH & ACE they said the it would be OK if the the supplement is not processed through the P450 cytochrome pathway. Still would like to hear Cheney's opinion on it. Al

Hi Hud, When I feel drained of energy, the ACE provides about a 3 hour increase in energy. Al
